I HAVE BEEN ON OXYDOCONE OXY CONTIN FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS NASTY BACK INJURY , TO YOUNG FOR SURGERY AND LAZY DOCTOR , ON THE DAYS I FEEL NOT TO BAD I FEEL LIKE MY BODY CREATES PAIN AS AN EXCUSE FOR ME TO TAKE A PILL ,IVE TRIED TAPPERIN BUT IM HURTING, I DONT WANNA TAKE THEM BUT I HAVE TO , SOMEDAYS I CAN BARELY GET OUTTA BED IM SAD I HAVE A 2.5 YEAR OLD A BABY ON THE WAY SO MUCH TO DO SO SORE LIFE ***** NEED GUIDANCE

are u saying that u r addicted?  mentally or physically or both?
and ur dr has part of the blame for this?   have u asked him to stop prescribing them?  have u told him u feel u have a problem with the pills he keeps giving u?

Welcome and you have come to the right place to get a start. You have already done the most important step and that is wanting help.If you go cold turkey then I am not going to lie its gonna get a little rough. But every1 is different and some it could take 3-5 days while other(usually heavy doses and for years) it may take many more than that. One thing to think of is 1 day your gonna have to stop so why cant that day be today? You will be sooooo glad in a month that you did. Take some time off and get help with your children if you can and then sit back and just do it. Others have tapered but I know nothing about that so maybe some1 will come on later with that info. Have u talked to ur doctor about getting off the pills? There r plently of medicines that he can prescrbe u to help with the withdrawls.. I feel for u I was also addicted to pills to it was the worst time of my life
