Really Scared

How long does withdrawl last?  I'm sure it depends on the person but does anyone generally know?  I have been taking hydrocodone for a little less than a year, about 7-10 per day.  Just had surgery and the medicine will stop being refilled in about 3 weeks.  I have to work full time and I have 3 kids to care for so I'm so worried about being sick.  Just want to know how long it will last.

Thanks.

Hi!  Count on about a week for the worst of it.  I would get some help with the kids for when you stop, if you don't taper and don't have help at home.

I would tell the doc that you would like to stop them but are afraid of the WDs.  You can get a lot of help from him/her with the wds and tapering.

Good luck!

You could try tapering this down and that would lessen the wd's.  Usually you feel pretty rotten for about a week.......Your doctor could help you with a taper plan
