Four days off of Vicodin ..anxiety is awful

I am now four days off of vicodin.  I actually did not experience any physical withdrawal symptoms. Don't know why, or how, but am very grateful. The only thing I am experiencing is terrible anxiety.  I am trying to just to fake it till I make it. My family has no idea I was taking any medications, and I don't want them to know. They noticed that I have been a little edgy lately. Any idea on how long this will last? Any remedies till it does subside? I started taking walks today.  Have noticed the anxiety is at its worst when I am about to get home from work and on my days off.  Especially if I am home alone.  Being busy helps, but sometimes anxiety is so bad, it's hard to get moving.  Any suggestions?

Im on day 6, and wake up every morning with anxiety ( thats even when I might fall asleep for 2 hours). Day 4 was wonderful for me, then day 5 came, and YUCK! Day 6 , sizeable amount of anxiety. I can take the withdrawal pain more than the mental. I keep hearing it gets better, so Im staying with this. Feel better, hugs Sandy

~Hi ellie if you scroll down to the bottom right corner you will see a link for the Thomas Recipe,,there are some supplements that are there that can help the moods. Some members also use St Johns Wort. Anxiety is very normal and can last a lil while,,up to 30days. (Everyone is different) Im on 21 days and still very edgy at times,,each day gets better. I wish you the best and congrats on 4 days! ~Bkitty
