Freedom from Bondage

Had to change the title of post cuz day 3 is not where I am thanks to God, AA and all of you who cared enough to not judge my journey. Believe me I thought I was a looser the one that just couldn't get it but I kept trying so just hang in there wherever you are on this journey today is the day.
Yesterday was my first day completely free of anything in my system. Im 8 days off opiates and I stopped the Valium and Ambien yesterday. I haven't flushed them yet but it's my plan. I'm feeling better than I have in a long time. I'm working full time and going to AA twice a day.
My family is all in program I'm so fortunate to be able to see the blessings in my life. Tomorrow is my husbands BDay yes and my son is on his way from Florida. I'm treating all aspects of my disease right now physical mental and
spiritual and I can actually feel that there is healing going on and freedom is within my grasp.
I'm not putting any pressure on myself right now been here before but something has shifted.
To all of you who don't believe you can get free of this poison please believe that I know you can. Sharon
I am thanking God and asking for help all day every day. If I can share anything to anyone is keep fighting this addiction and try to keep posting whether you're sober or not. Its taken me awhile to get here but so worth it.

thanks for stopping by Lu awesome is the word. Just came back to work from a noon meeting and I'm going to another tonight with my family. My husband is presenting a dear friend whom he sponsors with his one year medallion tonight. A lot of my family will be there and I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks to all of you who stop by and give me encouragement and support. It means the world to me.

I flushed all the opiates. I still have some Valium and have taken .25 a couple times at night like I said no pressure for me right now. I'm not too concerned I know they will go. No Ambien at all it just doesn't work thank God I was so afraid of that withdrawal but I'm ok there.
Thanks Sarah for your concern I think I'm ok. Im not taking them on a daily basis only when the anxiety and sleep deprivation are overwhelming. Not just reaching for a pill whenever I have a feeling.  thank God and all of you here.
Going to meetings every day at least once and totally enjoying my family right now.

Well the days are ok and as expected the nights are long.  Much better than where I was 10 days ago for that I'm grateful.
I'm going to try and exercise if I can.
My son who is six months sober YEA arrived just before midnight for his stepdads birthday last night drove home to stay after going to Florida to get sober he's going to be a Godsend for me. He's in recovery and working a program
As I've written before most of my family is in AA for the first time in a long time I have some hope that I really don't ever have to use, just for today.
Wishing you all a safe and sober wk end.
