HELP EEDED

I am ne to this forum.  I am very anxious in thinking I am hooked to cocodamol.  I take 2 in the evenings only and used them to help me sleep.  They were originally prescribed for a shoulder condition.  I have not had any for 2 evenings now as I have run out.  I did however take a tramadol on Monday night.
Last night I took nothing at all.  I woke in the middle of the night and thought I was dying.  I was very conscious of my breathing an felt I could not breath enough.  I got back to sleep and today I feel awful.  I am anxious my heart feels as though it is beating very fast although I don't think it is.  I feel worse than when I gave up smoking.
Rather naively I did not think I could become addicted on just 2 a night.

500 mgs is the strength of paracetamol. The codeine is either 8,15 or 30 mg's.
The tramadol would have stalled the withdrawal from the codeine.
Either way within a week the physical acute symptoms will be gone.
It will take longer for your natural sleep pattern to return.
Drink plenty of water, take walks. Take hot, Epsom salt baths that will help
With aches and help relax you.
Keep moving forward. You will feel better soon.

I have been taking the co-codamol for about 6 months.  they are the 500mmg  I suppose standard strength for here in the UK.  The tramadol I don't think should be an issue as I hardly ever take these only now and again.
I would of thought if I was allergic I would come out in hives but they just seem to keep me awake and when I do dose off I wake myself up scratching usually my arms or head ???
The co-codamol were prescribed but have now run out although I do have another script waiting for me to pick up.  So I am avoiding doing so.
I must admit last night is the first night totally drug free and it was not until yesterday when I kept wondering what to do as I had no pills to take (co-codmol).  I have not taken the codamol at all for the last 3 nights as I have taken the tramadol. So in fairness I have only decided that I am addicted last night which quite frankly has fightened the s*** out of me.
The remaining tramadol are in the toilet now.
So do I class this as day 1 or 3? am I reliant on both drugs or just the co codamol.
~The main question is .... Is there worse to come?

Hello and welcome. What is the strength of codeine in each tab?
How long have you been taking them?
The tramadol has a worse withdrawal then the codeine.
So don't take anymore of those. You could be allergic or the opiate
Strength is stronger than you are used to. Opiates release histamine
And it can make you itch.

Do you buy the codeine over the counter or is it a script?
It would be better to use something natural to help you sleep.
Melatonin, valerian root.

What are you worst symptoms?

Thankyou for your reply.  Its mind blowing to think that you can feel so rough from just 2 simple tablets in the evening.  I think what is making it worse for me is that I cant confide in my husband.  He has warned me but I thought I knew better.
I very rarely take the tramadol as it makes me itch! not sure whats that's about !
I feel like im going to explode at the moment although I guess that's normal.  Roll on day 3/4 !!

Doesn't take much, ask me how I know? Real pain... sneaks up on u. I broke 10 mg of vicoden in half and never to more then 4 halfs in a day.. and I'm 7 days out and it *****! Worst should be over by day 3/4.. hang in there! It truly stinks! I was warned to avoid tramadol.. they say the withdrawals AR ethereal worst ever.. I asked for no opiates and they gave me tramadol. It is a opiate!!! They warned me on here tramadol takes like 6 or more months to feel better from!!!!! So don't take anymore! Take care and hang in there!
