Hi i have a friend that wants to detox off herion this weekend... she remebers detoxing in a place before that gave her a "care package" she is not sure what it consisted off. She think it was asprin,cold medicine and a few other things has anyone tried this and what did you use ?..

Dont underestimate the time element. These people are all so correct.......its not something that gets done in a couple days. It may be a week before you can get out of bed. Hi...detoxing in a weekend...wish I would have known that you could do that :-).  Seriously, a plan for 5-10 days for detoxing from opiates (physical part) is something she should be prepared for.  The Thomas Recipe (search for this) and the Amino Acid Protocol will definitely help.

you dont actually detox from Heroin in a weekend. If it were me, I would try to have atleast this:

Clonidine
loperamide
Klonopin
Phenergan

I don't know anything about the 'care package' but you can look up the thomas' recipe in the health pages here,top right.Those things might help her out.Also the amino acid protocol.Good luck to your friend....Kim
