tapeing off Norco

I have been unemployed for 2 years. Last year I took a Norco and became addicted immediatly. I have always had an addictive personality but was always a succesful worker. I need to quit as I have made a mess out of my life. I have a job opportunity and want to stop using. I informed my Dr. and family and the Dr. gave me the detox number. I don't have time as I need this job. Is it possible to taper off and stay clean?

I know how you feel. Being an addictive mess is a horrible feeling.  Right now I am still an addict BUT there is hope.  I looked on the interent for doctors who prescribe suboxene I was on it before GREAT drug for getting off narcotics.  After calling around to the different doctors in my areas I found a doctor who will prescribe it to me on a out patient basis. I have to see a therapist once a week I have to phone in once a week to here to help counslers and I have to see the pyciatrists who is prescribing the medication not sure how often I need to see him but the good thing is it's all outpatient no inpatient so I still get to live my normal life and work just as long as I go to my appointments which I make in the evening, So you can do the same and get the help you need, Look around the interent. Google the words doctors that prescribe suboxene and put your state in and your search will begin call as many places til you find a doctor and program that will work for you there are so many options now a days because this is so common.  And if you are worried about the money tell them to put you on a payment plan.  Something pay them as little as you can doctors are always willing to work with you.  I will start my treatment next week and I am so ready to get off these drugs. I want my life back and I am sure you do to, Good luck I hope this helps

Yes..it's very possible.  First, read the"health pages" at top right. Especially "The Thomas Recipe" and At Home Detox.  Gather as much info as you can. Also read the page on dopamine and the brain.  Then, come on back with any and all questions.

You've come to the right place!!

It,also, helps to read other posts with a similar problem...
