Has anyone attended..

a NA meeting online and if you did...did you find it beneficial. I attended one online last night and I felt like I got nothing out of it. Did I just get a dull night with one and should I try again?

I've done it and it was pretty dull. Then again, it WAS something to do when I was ansy and bored. It helps if you actually know the people in the group, then it can be a lot more fun.

What I found more distracting is I started up a "story-line" gaming style group at one point. This is something I used to do with friends back pre-internet when they had BBS's. It's essentially based on D&D type gaming, but free form and on-line in chat mode.

I'd created a world & NPC's (non player characters) and the on-line people each had assigned characters they played and reacted with the other NPC's.

Hey, any way you can spend some time not being bored and obsessive is a fun one. :-)
