WPOHOOO! Way to go. Now tell the therapiat and get on your wat to a better life. Have you tried a 12step program. Workin the steps has definately helped me deal with the guilt associated with my use. 12step programs don't work for some. It is whatever works for you.
Great great great to hear! Sometimes just doin it is the only way. Isn't it a wonderful feeling to come out into the clear! No, unfortuantely comes the hard part. Stay in therapy and start talking about your addiction with your counselor. Get to the bottom of why you use... And do not turn your back on this disease for one single second. Way to go.
Wahoo!! 5 going on 6 days clean! I was put on antidepressants yesterday and hope it helps with my PTSD. I am feeling great and have not even had a craving..though I know they will come. To anyone who is wanting to get their life back...just do it. The tapering just made my symptoms last longer. CT is better. I hope I can stay clean for myself. What a great day today is. Thanks for all your help :)
i would go by how by feel hun,if its almost as bad as when u ct then just dump them.if you think its better contue to taper . Its not easy telling people we are addicts heck its not easy admiting it to ourselfs LOL just remeber our secrects keep us sick you are doing everything you need to be proud of yourself for that ...
Hi~ It's very, very important that you tell your therapist. Try to get to the root of why you use pills...then you can begin recovery and a clean life!
I,personally, think you should just stop now. By Monday would be well on your way...
It's up to you...
Keep posting~

I do have a therapist but have not told him. That will be next week. I thought I was giving myself a softer landing by tapering the way I was. By no means has it been easy. My husband is holding all my pills so I am on a schedule. Day three was rough. I just thought it would be easier to do it this way....crash landings suck :(
if you are feeling strong wd now i would jump now .some people when they taper only have mild wd and then yes then they o of them its not as bad but of others it seems to just draw it out .Its really your choice .Have you looked into recovery care so you have the support for the mental part of the addiction?
I thought by tapering 10mg a day would be a softer land once I got to one pill a day. Am I wrong? My body is for sure feeling the taper by taking 1 pill less a day. I see that others have taken months to taper, but I don't want to be tapering for weeks or months. I know this is a very fast taper as I am giving my body only 24 hours to adjust to the new dosage. Is what I am doing not going to help me at all once I take my last pill Monday morning? or will I go into full blown w/d? Thanks for your help.
Hi~ Why don't you just stop now? Toss out the rest of the pills and just get it done.
I think you are prolonging the inevitable...so,give it up. Get yourself some vitamins and a sleep aid. Nyquil,Motrin, tonic water for RLS,comfort foods etc...Lomotil for diarrhea.
Drink lots of water...and just hunker down.
You can do this and we'll be here to support you.
Keep posting...it's great that you want to stop!!
