Day 6 and wanted to also give some encouragement

I did so much stuff today in my home WITHOUT the Loratab/cet (hydrocodone) and all I took was 2 Aleve; one in the morning and one this afternoon. I've outdid my 4 year old for the first time since before she was 3 and I'm 43 years old.

For those just starting I have to tell you that Days 1, 2, and 3 were the worst, as I expected Day 3 to be easier than it was, but when I woke up Day 4 it was easier.  The night of Day 4 was the first night I slept all night without leg pain and Day 5 was good and now Day 6 was totally awesome.  After getting over Day 3, I felt a marked increase in my success of beating this demon.  Taking pain pills is the "devil" in disguise!

I promise it will get better.  Just when I thought it wouldn't get better, I would come here and read all the post.  Now I am so busy with energy that I don't have as much time to get on the internet.  I was taking 4 Loracets per day and on a bad day it would be more.  Last Monday I took 6 or 7 which was the most besides another evening of drinking and tabbing. I am lucky I didn't end up in the hospital like in June.  I'll have to write about that episode another time.  Good luck!!!

Wow ... Thanks so much for your post ... I am on day 4 today .. getting off Oxycontin 40's 3x a day and Percocet's 10/325 3 x a day ( all prescibed for ligitamite pain ) ... but I started to abuse them.  I  feel just a smidge better each day and look forward to a full nights sleep ( hopefully tonight) ...and even more looking forward to  having some energy and getting my appetite back. It may seem small to some .. but to me just hearing how your doing better everyday gives me hope :)  Keep up the good work and keep posting, so I can see how much better it gets.   Thanks Von :)

Way to go, I took drugs to treat pain from injuries. It doesn't really help does it. It seems to for a while but it just adds pain to your life in the end. Good job. Good luck.
