Is it really that bad from cigg withdrawal? Your not coming off anything else? I don't know what to tell you. Iv'e had to stop smoking multiple times and I usually feel extremely good after quitting. Of course I still want to smoke but Physically I feel good. Sorry it's going so rough for you. Iv'e heard it said that Cigg's are harder to quit than Heroin but being a heroin addict and a smoker Iv'e always found the Heroin to be so much harder. That's me though.
It takes 24 hours for all nicotine to leave your body. The rest is a 'head-case' that eases up after about a month. You can do this. - Blu
Man that makes me feel better every time I hear someone say it's normal that they went through the same w/d symptoms. It's been rough but I'm fighting through it :) Tomorrow makes a week!
Congrats on nearly seven days (I'm assuming you haven't punched anyone in those 7 days...lol). It's a tough go and just like with opiates everyone has a different experience and some are way tougher then others. The only thing I can promise is it does get better each day and believe it or not you will get to a point were cigarettes aren't even thought about.
Nope haven't punched anyone (yet) now my brother lives across the street from me and his dog has been barking for hours so that might change here soon lol. Yea I guess I'm one of those people that gets really bad withdrawals from cigs. I guess it's good, maybe I won't ever go back!!!
ugggg a barking dog at night is the worst! even if you're NOT WD from something...lol
I too quit smoking over 3 yrs ago...I felt after a couple of months I thought about Cigs less and less.
I did hook up with the 2m Nicorette gum and still chew it. My husband who quit at the same time is much better not using anything except for gum for a short time.
It was weird that when I first quit if I was around someone smoking I would like the smell. However; I try not to be too close because I hate the smell on my clothes and hair. I always hated the smell on my clothes and hair when I smoked I use to wear a hoodie and cover my hair then, I would scrub my hands and face and teeth after I would smoke.
I went to a stop smoking class years earlier and what I found being helpful was everytime I wanted a Cig I would replace the thought with a picture of me feeling really good that I didn't smoke or I would think about how healthy my body was getting because I didn't smoke. They said create a feeling good picture and thought so you are ready when the cravings would happen.
The bad side effect was that I gained weight however; after a few months you will be able to feeling good doing exercises. It is so nice to breath good and go bike riding without running out of breath or my chest hurting...
I think that it was the hardest habit I ever kicked and I am so proud of myself...
My oldest daughter (33 yrs old) smokes but her husband doesn't . I so wish she would stop because she now has cancer. She does everything else great vegan, and is a dancer and actor and very active with her husband.
Alright, 1 week down!! I still feel not good but I hope it starts to get better soon. Judi, that's awesome you and your husband were able to quit. Also I will be saying a prayer for your daughter :)
yayyyyy!! 1 week is awesome my friend! :))
Good job making it to one week! That's a big deal! Keep up the good work man.
