Well......I'm 18hrs into this and I'm ok. I slept fine. I think one of the biggest things so far for me are stomach cramps and I'm real nervous feeling. I am doing good and I still feel good about it....I'm getting out of bed now to take my vitimins so we will see how the day goes.
acute wds are those first and worse days of wds....with all the symptons like diarrhea, muscle cramps, sweating, nausea, RLS, headaches, tremors, etc... days 3/4 are usually the worst but again, it can be done :) take each day at a time
keep posting your questions and also you can read as much posts as you can from other people going through wds so you can find some more advices and learn more about addiction ( knowledge is power )

hey, keep feeling this way, positive and happy because you are saving your life and starting the best journey.. it doesn't matter that there will come some tough days, some hard moments and some struggling... you are fighting for the best. :) this suffering has the greatest meaning whereas active addiction is the most autodestructive and meaningless suffering in the world.
besides,... there is always a way to find some help with symptons and so... anxiety ? take a long hot bath, have a walk, listen to some music, some breathing exercises, meditation, filling yourself with positive thoughts and some good and positive rationalising ( and maybe some valerian root at some moments&days ) ... you will see it, you can do it !!!
I'm unaware what is acute withdrawl? What I have is cal/mag/zinc, b6 and l-tyrosine also the hylands and melatonin.
Thak you soooo much....I'm ready, I feel alot of different feelings about it but most of all.....I'm excited to get my life back and be me again. I have anxiety already so I guess that's the part I'm worried about. I don't want to loose control due to that.... I will be here and thanks so much for the advice and prayer...
Agree with trama...
and stay here posting how you are doing , oK?
good luck, Angel :) wish you the best too, you have taken the best decision !!!!!
You will get a lot of support here! The thomas recipe is more intended to cater to those in acute withdrawal. The amino acid protocol, I have been on since then!!
The taper will help you some, but you will be uncomfortable. The hylands and melatonin can be taken with the others, as far as I know. Cal/mag supplement and apple juice are good to add!
Good luck! I said a prayer for you!
