CONGRATULATIONS you and your wife are on your way to freedom. You sound really determind as we were and we done it. A lot of people didnt think my wife and i could stop a 13yr habit of smoking heroin together as it doesnt usually work but we done the same as you and just went c/t when we came on this site. You have worked everything out nicely by the sounds of it as we had terrible rls and my wife gets it in her arms as well. I didnt sleep for 14 days and that was taking valium to try and help me sleep but it didnt work. But you are at the worst days now, day 4 is probably the peak but you sound as if your coping real well. I have to congratulate you on getting rid of the rls as i think this is one of the biggest causes of relapse. Thats the one that used to get us every time we tried to c/t. And its great your getting some sleep already. Its good you and your wife are talking about things too as depression can cause a lot of problems. That was and still is my biggest problem but keep talking and getting everything out and things should work out well. Just watch out for that depression though, sometimes it just comes out of nowhere and hits you like a ton of bricks but you sound as if you are both coping well and the w/ds arent too bad. I wished wed had your list it sounds excellent. We had to fight the devil himself to come of our drug. Keep it up, both of you are doing amazing, you are an inspiration to couples like us who have been told detoxing together cannot work. We are living proof that it can, although it maybe not for everyone but worth a try. Good luck and congratulations on 3 days
hi and welcome to the forum..first off CUDOS on day 3 with no narco's that in itself is an accomplishment it sounds like things are going as well as possible for the 2 of you
day 4 can be ruff but for the most part it gets better from there..just hang in there
I have said this to alot of people detoxing....you just got to be ok without being ok for a wile....it takes time to heal....at least your getting some sleep thats usually one of the worst parts that and the anxiety but just remember it only temporary and as you put some time in between you and the drugs it will get eazer ...use your symptoms to
strengthen your resolve to quit...and lean on each others strengths you can do this
good luck and god bless....Gnarly
