How much were you taking?  7 weeks isnt very long so am glad you are getting off them now.  Usually wd's last for about a week with the 3rd and 4th day being the worse.  Keep talking to us.......sara

I think I can speak for the majority of people on this site when I say that we wish we could go back to the first few weeks/months of our opiate addiction cycle.....it is hard to see the future, but take a suggestion from the previous post that recommends you read more stories about how much more incredibly difficult this thing can become.  Time is on your side and you can use it do your advantage, by getting past these few days right now.

Good Luck

I'm guessing again here from experience and taking 80mg for close to two months probably is right at the threshold as to when wd's can become an issue.

You've kinda indicated they are there so you crossed into the realm of when people start to have issues with it. These first 4 days will be the peak days , but after that, you should recover rather quickly..It was short term so you have that in your favor as to your body didn't get rewired for a long period of time so it should recover quickly,...

Just set your mind into "I'm going to fight my way thru this no matter what" mode , get by these next few days and things should improve pretty quickly for you..

There was a fellow in here a few months back who was on a similar dosage and he had some rough moments but they passed quickly,,didn't linger more than a few hours here and there nothing like extremes that some go thru where its 2 or 3 days solid of extremes.

He said he was feeling great within 2 weeks like he had never taken any to begin with when he reached that point....So the short term is definitely in your favor..

Although I realize that you feel bad, your use was short-term so now will be the easiest time for you to get past this without having to suffer more miserably.  It is a blessing that you are going to get past this before your use escalates to the point of many members on this forum.
These pills will rob you of your life, your soul - I know that it sounds dramatic but just read through some posts and through some journals and you will see how much of your life you can lose to this addiction if you allow it.
The Thomas Recipe is posted in the health section and has some great natural remedies that will make you more comfortable during this transition.
Continue to post, this site is full of people who are very knowledgable and very supportive and the forum is an excellent outlet for your feelings.
Best of luck to you.

How long have you Not been taking the medications? How many days now?  Personally - Yeah I too was taking Percocets with Vicodins and Valium to boot. All for severe Back spasms until I moved to Methadone - due to the Longer Half Life.

I wouldnt think you should be having too much of a hard time after 2 weeks of not using. I wouldnt suggest taking a Perc or Vic to calm u down? But I probably would - - But thats Only because I dont have much of a connection with either drug. If you feel that If you were to take a Percocet or something and it would drive you right back to where u started, then just keep off and ride it out. Drink a beer or something. Take some Ibuprophen or an Excedrin PM and get some sleep. You really shouldnt be feeling too overwhelmed - in my opinion. Im sorry youre having this issue with these Opiates. Theyre so easy to get too, which makes it even harder to stop.

To me - no, does not seem normal to have such a hard time with Vicodin? Personally, after the first few days - I cant even feel the effects.
That doesnt mean so much though. Everyone obviously has thier own threshholds of how meds effect them. Heck, some folks even get addicted to pot?
If this has been prescribed to you, maybe u should speak with your physician? If not - try calling a counselor, and figure out what types of steps you can take to help ease your mind?
