yes, and i later found that the ultram was a bit tougher to kick then the codien, due to the a&d properties, talk to your doc and see if he can help you with a taper plan, also ask for comfort meds if you feel you will need them,
My rheumatologist gave me tramadol a couple of years back but, it didn't help me so he didn't give it to me anymore but, he had to ween me off of it - even after just 2 months. Because he said that by quitting it cold turkey and if you take too much it will may cause you to have seizures. It sounds kinda dangerous. Please be careful with Tramadol, it is nothing to play around with.
tramadol is not considered an opiate but should be.i did some research and it could possibly be re-classified shortly,i've also read that yes,it is a very hard drug to get off of.i tend to agree with the above statement by lisa
tramadol is not nearly as strong as hydros,it is also not a narcotic but works on the same receptors as does hydro.you can become dependent on this medication because of that very reason so be careful.whether it's a good idea to take tramadol to ease the withdrawal symptoms for hydros i dont really have enough knowledge to answer that.i'm sure somebody will be able to answer your question shortly.good luck. steveo
Doctors are not doing their research.. trams are addicting.. my Dr. also offered me this drug instead of norco when I asked about a non narcotic pain reliever.. Thank goodness for this forum and research I had the knowledge to educate him.. I was taking 25 to 30 norco a day and soma when I first quit.. It was not pleasant but very doable.. there are natural products you can use that will help more then trading addictions and our prolonging the wd process.. Hope you stick around read other post.. you can pick up a lot of information and tips to make wd easier.. attitude in my honest opinion is half the battle.. a lil humor with a fighting spirit will go along way in making it easier.. stay for as much support as you can get as this also helps tremendously.. wishing you well.. lesa
trams are a synthetic opiate with an anti deppresant quality. it is not stronget han hydro, just different. it is a very hard drug to w/d from. the symptoms last much longer than hydros. there is info on this drug in avisg profile...check it out there...you can also google it. alot of docs dont know it is so addictive...if you read the post here you will find out IT IS very ADDICTIVE. I AGREE WITH LISA DO NOT DO THAT....
I was told it is not a narcotic and that Vicodin was stronger so my dr prescribed that instaead of Vic.
Do NOT do that. You will be using an opaite that is much stronger to wean off hydro. I don't know much about tram, other then it is one of the hardest of pills to kick..just be careful. Why would you go to a more stronger pill to stop, why not wean or go to a less strong one?
