I thought I'd be feeling a lil better by day 4

So here comes Day 4, with no Norcos, to start my day off just right. Yeahhh, I've been believing that lie for 7 years now. Well, no more, I'm sick of it. I'm sick of the fact that I can't have some true happiness SOBER. I'm over it, so over it. My question is that I'm on day 4 now, sober, yayyy, but I'm still feeling very weak, restless to a degree, sneezing nonstop, minor gi issues still, minor, but I just want to sleep for the next 2 days straight. Wishful thinking but maybe in 2 days, I'll be feeling remarkably improved??

Thanks for the heads up! I'm pretty impatient, not a good trait of mine, do I want to feel better NOW. Lol....wishful thinking, just like an addict too. That's part of how an addicts mind differs from 'sober' minds, they have patience & don't always need instant gratification,  but we do. Wish I wasn't like that but what's the point? Lol....I am who I am. Just drug free & still cool & fun as hell haha. I'm gonna keep telling myself that too

Giiiirrrl!! The above poster said it: "It's WAY to early to expect much. A lot of damage was done." Day 4 you are in the thick of it. I don't want to scare you but don't expect to feel "normal" for a while. I think that trips up a lot of people: they expect to feel like they did pre-addiction at day 7 and it just isn't true. Inch by inch you will feel a tad better but you just have to go thru it.

Good job on day 4 and post as often as you like!

I'm on day 5 of coming off methadone and hydrocodone for breakthrough. I'm posting because I can't sleep. I think, for me it's a little early to expect to much. I've been on lots of opaites for 7 years. I'm just beginning to really grasp how much damage I did.
Please hang in & be patient, lol. That always seems funny coming from me, I couldn't go anytime without popping something into my body. Try to stay busy. I've been watching all 6 Star Trek movies.  Stay connected. Hang in. GOD Bless.
