I was wondering if Inhaling opiates could hurt me?

I have a friend who has been crushing oxycodone #15 mg and #30 mg pills and snorting them.... I suggested just puting them into a cup of coffee but she insists on doing them that way. Are there any health risks involved in snorting the pills?
Note: they are small pills with no Tylanol in them....

I just started taking the 8/2 suboxone strips and i don't feel any different. been to a few metings....really depressed no energy. Been taking it two and a half weeks i can take up to 3 8/2 a day but i don't. I did during withdrawel. I was taking buttloads of hydrocodones 10/325....then 30 mg oxys not time released mixed w xanax (snorting those 2 together) then started snorting about 22 dilaudids a day 4 mg mixed w xanax or it didnt get me high. I'm wondering is there hope with suboxone.

In response to your response to my question....LOL I am aware of the obvious  risks involved in taking pills, even when prescribed, but was more wanting to focous on the "Medical" risks like Nasal, broncual, sinus, and or heart risk...
I often come across like a hifalutent know_it_all and I thought if I had some medical facts to back up my opinion that, I would be more convincing.As my previous tacts like  Constructive critisisum and badgering only tend to make her pull away, but real medical "Facts" not advise should serve as a better Avenue. But thats just me....? So got any? Facts that is... Haha

Encourage your friend to come to.this forum...we all support one another..don't judge and help another out...

She needs help with her addiction....i pray she asks for it immediately...she needs support and some tough love to see the damage she's inflicting on herself.....

There's light in this...she can overcome this if she wants too..i did..it wasn't easy..still.struggle but im.so much happier off the meds...ill pray horn both of you...hugs of support..bama

Once you start snorting the high is twice as intense in my opinion..just shorter lived...that's why i also used oxycontin ...i was prescribed meds ...but when i snorted i would buy off the street...the high i got was so intense it called.me all.day long...was the hardest and smartest thing I've did..

Does it say on the bottle "snort every 4 hours as needed"? I am sure it doesn't and you must know this is harmful. It is also addictive behavior. Your friend is in trouble and needs help. See if she will come and post here and we can give her support to get through this and help her find recovery.

Yes its dangerous....if pills were designed to snort it would be on the lable lol.i snorted oxies for over a year...when first started i gave myself severe bronchitis front.snorting...its a side effect..my eyes suck in and were black and huge like frankinstien...i would get sins infections...headaches when i didn't snort...it was awful...

The disease of addiction is very intense when your snorting them....its not healthy and is harder to stop...she will eventually snort more and more...i got up to 4 30Mrs a day at one point plus oxycontin...

Please talk to her...or me...i don't want her to go thru what i did

Snorting it is not entirely the same as inhaling....but I do understand your question and I was only snorting oxy for one year long. Besides the amount of damage it has done inside my nose I used to wake up mornings and have the whole back oft throat and mouth full with the taste of this poison.  I think it's more addictive snorting it because the high comes faster and although it may last shorter it's an intense feeling. When I got to the point of not getting high anymore but only trying to feel normal ...I knew I was hooked! That was about 3 months into it. It's dangerous however u take it but moreso, to me, snorting.
