I'm frustrated and a little nervous!

Hey guys!  Hope you are all having a good day.  It has stormed here for so long that I am expecting animals to start going by the house, 2 by 2!  So I am hoping to have some better weather.

Now...I am kind of frustrated by these headaches that I am having and am seeing my doctor for a post op visit tomorrow.  It has been 6 weeks since my hysterectomy. I don't know much about meds to treat headaches, as I have never really had too many of them.  Ibuprofen, BC Powder, Tylenol, Sudafed, Excederin.....not working.  That is the strongest thing I have taken.  If you guys have any ideas, I can ask my doctor about them.  I know he will let me take something, but I have no clue what to ask for.  In the past, I would have just taken the strongest thing he would give me!!! : )  I would usually just listen to whatever HE wanted me to do and not taken any responsibility on myself.  I would just really like to go in there a little more informed!

I'm also a little nervous about it, so keep me in your thoughts tomorrow.  I have to be able to say NO if he offers "a short term opiate solution" until my hormones kick back in!  I'm thinking maybe that is why I am having the headaches.  We will see.

Yes...I would kill you.  I'm on my way to Jackie's to get her straight and insist she never say that word!!!!     Jackie :   I nearly killed myself on that sh*t !!!    It was my DOC.

Okay...deep breathing now...a little panicky...breathing....OKAY!  Better!

Imitrex works great,it's fast, and it's generic. It doesn't work on tension headaches but kills a migraine in minutes. It's not at all addictive. It would be a great "rule out" drug.

Doctors vicki. I had a doctor tell me fioricet was not addictive when I was pregnant with my son because that is what he wanted to give me as I was suffering these really awful headaches for a couple of months. I knew better!

I had headaches after my hysterectomy.  My doctor told me that this was normal but i had mine a 100 yrs ago too.  They took my ovaries also and put me on premarin as that was the answer to everything back in the day.  I no longer take that either......So what was the point of MY post?  No clue!!!  I do remember the headaches tho and mine did go away after awhile......

Just say NO to opiates~~~~sara
