Im going on day 8 and..

so im going on day 8 tomorrow..i pretty much done w the withdrawals thank god. but my great dane ate a sqeaky toy and had to go the er to get stomach surgery (10in incision) and of course what do they give him? ******* tramadol. so ironic, that im finally off tabbys then a ******* bottle of pills fall graciously in my lap. but im stronger than that plus my pup needs them. just thought it was pretty ironic. everyone keep your head up. if i can do it anyone can!

good job on 8 days and happy to hear your feeling better. it sounds like your faced with your first test with trams there, but i know you will pass.  sorry to hear about your dog, that really *****. stay stong and good luck.

I'm so sorry about what happened in your life ... thanks for the quick reply. I'm constantly amazed at how strong people like you are. I've CT'd once before, and I was unable to walk for more than a couple of minutes. By Day 5, I felt like things were getting better.

How did you get off them? Anything help ease the torture?

It won't hurt as bad as if you don't go off it.   My daughter started on oxy for a dental problem.  She worked at a hospital so it was easy for her to get them.  They caught her in a random drug screening, she was fired and couldn't afford them on the street.   She started using coke and heroin....snorting then shooting.  She got ahold of some really good stuff and died that night.  She left 4 daughters...she was 38.  She went from working in the cardiac wing at a large hospital...to living with her teenage daughter in a homeless shelter,,,that is where she died.  Her daughter is still under treatment for the trauma.....I Know I know it will never happen to me ....right???  Well here I am her mom and grandmother and great grandmother to 17.  Got them nice legal dilaudids from my pain doctor....but I am shaking just like any other junkie.....I love you Sammy please try hard honey.   Jerri

congrats.....and it is good u can leave ur puppy dog's meds alone!   LOL..an acheivement tho!
