Generally speaking the 3rd and  4th day are the worst of the physical side effects.   Lack of energy and lethargy can last longer.   For me, it lasted about a month.   Check out the Thomas Recipe and be sure and stay hydrated.   Eat light meals and take supplements.    Once you are past the physical part, try to eat as healthy as possible and take vitamins.   After care is suggested.   I, personally, didn't go to NA, but I do come here every day and read.  I took hydrocodone for five years, up to five pills a day, which is a low number compared to most people who are dependent on them.  I have never had an addiction problem, and it was pretty easy for me to stop, although I had about a week where I was sick as a dog.  I can't say that I don't sometimes think about taking another pill....I do have pain issues...but I won't do it.   I know they are poison and at my age, I want to be as healthy as possible.   Good luck to you.   Stay  around and post often for encouragement.
