5 Days Later

Five full days since my last half pill of vicodin... I had a tear in my eye when I was taking it... Now I am so happy that I dont have one handy...
In fact I got angry driving by Walgreens yesterday... Thinking the highlight of my week was visiting that store when my prescription was ready... Yesterday I couldnt stand to look at... I hope that feeling stays with me...
Thank you to everyone on this site who has wished me well... I appreciate it so much...

was taking 6 pills of 7.5 vic per day for about nine months... then was missing the high of the drug as it took two just to feel it... then the lows came faster and lasted longer... had a fortunate talk with my dad who really challenged me... i took his challenge to heart and talked to my doctor immediately... my doctor gave me a plan... i pretty much stuck to the course... but was a nervous and stressful mess as the last pills became half pills and the bottle was emptying out for good... looking forward to each day at 1145am to celebrate another clean day... thanks for your note...

Congratulations on 5 days!  You sound terrific and I love that you hated looking at Walgreen's.  It seems to me that your mind is definitely on board with the program yes?  All the stress and the lows are normal.  On Day 5 I was still wondering if I was gonna ever feel good again but on Day 7 (I think lol) I actually watched a movie and laughed.  What a great feeling.

Keep checking in here okay?  Let us know your progress....we are all progressing together after all.

You sound like you have an awesome dad...and how great that he challenged you....he loves you a great deal and that isn't something that everyone has.  I would have loved to have a parent who loved me that much!
