La la ladies and Gentlemen!

Hope all is well this fine Friday evening! I see some people are at days 5, 7, etc etc. Great job guys! Keep up the good work! Those of you that are in need of assistance or just need to read a story to really give you the confidence to move foward, free of chemical living......... I will share!
Many here have read, but I'll refresh. 56 days ago I commented on this site about how horrifying the previous 6 days had been. That day I finally broke down and went to my original GP and explained to him what I had done. He gave me Lorazepam to calm the crazy brain! I had been taking percs, hydros and demerol for 6 months. I thought I wasn't in too deep. Bwahahahaah! I had been less than the husband and father I intended to be. I quit cold turkey and it was bloody awful. I had to work and take care of my son as my wife was out of town the first 3-4 days.
Needless to say, I am 62 days clear of all them. I have told nearly anyone that will listen as to make sure I stay clean. I had started taking them for migraines. No triptans were working. I got into a vicious cycle of chasing headaches all the time with these gremlins!  I immediately started eating right again. I had lost 20lbs in those 6 months. I was thin already, I became a waif. I was shocked when I actually sat down and looked at how many times I went to the pharmacy. Ridiculous! I took wayyy more than previously thought.
Well people, I hope you all succeed. My wife helped me all the way. This week was a really good week. I lifted weights every morning, cycled two evenings and started the "Insanity" program. Tonight is night two.
Life after is amazing, I know that I will forever be in recovery, my GP insists I see a Psychiatrist and I will. However, not until I slow down.
I did not follow any real "recipe" to ease the withdrawals. I would eat apples, bananas, grapes, oranges, carrots and peppers. I drank about 12-13 bottles of water and gatorade daily. Those d&mn sugar wafer cookies are still my weakness. I love them janks! I worked as to keep some schedule in my life. I took fish oil, multi-vits and B Vits. All twice daily. I made it and I believe all of you can too. I pop in every few days to see how everyone is. Mostly I just big brother read, sometimes I add my .02. If there is anything I can say to help any of you, I'm here.
Thanks for reading my novel, I hope it helps someone.

Only if you can convince my wife that HBO's Big Love is a great life.......lol
Nope, I really don't have to pay. I'm a networker. You scratch my back I scratch yours. I have about 5 lawyers that I do the same with. I make median money, so this is how I make up for it. Karma is alive and it never forgets.

I have a friend that is certified in all types of massage. I have been to her and she did wonders. Matter of fact, I need to schedule another in the next few weeks. Now, I'm not sure if I should say this........... I don't pay for Botox. Its free and clear. I told you my Neuro is awesome. We're hoping the Botox will be more effective this time as I'm not on any painkillers. I've been pretty proactive in this. Exhausting all options other than popping pills. Since March 6th of course. He and I will be getting together soon for a cycle ride. He also mentioned to know my limits with the Insanity program as I could hyper-extend my neck and cause trouble that way. I just feel so damn good these days. I wanna just continue and amplify it! I wish I could give some of it away to folks that need it.

Thanks Pooch!

You know,I had Botox for migraine relief a few times.  Injections from temple to temple.
It worked BUT man,at $750.00 a whack I had to stop.  Thankfully,I've been migraine free for months since stopping the Fioricet.  So,now I can get Botox where it's supposed to go!!!!  LOL
Hope this works for you. Have you tried massage?  Maybe that's the therapist you should be seeing!!!!  LMAO

Vicki, you really are the model of encouragement. It is greatly appreciated! More so than I believe you can realize. I talked with my Neuro today. He had been wondering where I have been. Well, I went by his clinic today while he was catching up on charts. We hooked up an EMG and found that I have what he refers to as an angry muscle in my neck. Thinks it was caused by some sort of trama and is the overall source of my headaches. Stressful situations make it worse. So weeeeeeee botoxed it! We did this before but, I was taking the narcotics. Hoping this time it will cut out nearly all my headaches. Its a step in the right direction as soma and an excedrin can kill my headaches too. The soma is relaxing the agitated muscle.
Anyway, it was good news. We have a source and a bandaid until I can learn to relax and reduce stress. I have an awesome Neuro!

Thanks and yes! We could all tell an interesting, individual tale. I also wanted to add that I was starting to feel an aura of pain forming in my left temple this evening. I have been so excited to punish myself physically with Insanity(crazy I know) I went ahead and jumped into it. Pre-headache symptoms disappeared and are nowhere to be found. The intense exercise, extreme cardio just had the heart pumping blood and opening the capillaries for more oxygen. I feel amazing. I did not think those first 10 or so days of withdrawal, that I could feel this incredible, ever again.

Nice novel! Lol I'm proud of you. We could all write a book, huh? I drank bunches of water and gatorade too. I think it helped a lot.

Great job and great post!
