Help needed

I have been taking Norco for a while & find its just not working.I was using it for back pain & now it barely helps I have even got sinus ha while taking it.It also used to give me energy & now it just makes me tired.I am getting really depresssed because I can barely function.I am tired & in pain all the time. I have been sick a lot most of my life & have had a few suicide attempts.Appparently when I get sick the old tapes from my childhood start playing such as you will never amount to anything, I wish you had never been born, you never do anything right, I am seeing a counsler & on antidepresants.Unfortunately the only thing that made me feel better was the Norco & now thats not working.

The same thing happened to me...i was using hydros to keep my mood elevated and my energy level up...much of this due to chronic pain which does drain my energy and make me feel depressed during flare ups...then one day they did not work anymore...just made me more tired and more depressed the more i took...still chasing that high but i dont think i would have ever gotten it back again...i am sorry but u will have to find another way to feel happy/or normal...meetings help...i am sure u have tried anti-depressents?  the right one is hard to find tho..the one that works for ur needs...do keep posting and u may be o to work on Monday...get the vitamins recommended in the thomas recipe and liquid imodium helped me more than the pill type...u will need something for anxiety and sleep if u plan to work...it is hard to work without sleep and for some this is part of the withdrawals..keep posting

I teared up a little reading your post.  Not about your current situation but your being so lost you attempted suicide and the comments that were made to you as a child.

No child should endure such things!

I will pray for you.

I cant advise much on some parts except to say that you need a good, or a couple, doctors that you can talk to - average patient time with Docs has shrunken to 7 minutes average per visit. Thats not enough......for your back - I found that after awhile I was just chasing a norco high that I would never have again....it doesnt work that way. For my back I found lidoderm (lidocaine - stuff dentists numb with) trans dermal patches and after I quit the norco's I enjoyed good success with those.....good luck to you - there is all kinds of new help available that works.....and keep in mind that you are a human being with priceless worth........................and check out the amino acid protocol at bottom right of page...one you shouldnt take with some antidepressants but some for energy and motivation are o.k. - keep posting and ask questions..............

It is really hard to tell you what to do.  The norco may not be working because you have built up a tolerance and it could be that your pain level has increased.  Either way, don't start taking more than you are supposed to without a doctor advice.  When you do that, you are setting yourself up for addiction.

Do you have a substance abuse problem, if so how long have you had it?  A little more information can aid the people in helping you.

Keep in touch,
Susan
