Injection of Legal Highs

Hi this is the first time I have posted on here.  I was injecting heroin for several years.  A few moments ago I tried a legal high called burst.  The first time I tried it I I.Vd it. It is a drug that has totally taken over in my area,  mainly with heroin/ex heroin users.  It  has also caused quite a lot of problems with some people,  physical & mentally.  I tried taking it a couple of times orally,  but that was when I couldn't get myself with a pin. I had used up a lot of my veins over the years using heroin,  but where I had been injecting I had been able to get for a few years.  But after a couple of months using this drug I was struggling to get that vein.  So went back to some that I have not used for a long time.  When injecting here after just one hit I have been getting severe bruising.  We have been told by drugs workers that injecting this is not good for veins,  but am not sure what is causing the really bad bruising.  I have had bruising before using heroin,  but nothing like this.  After just a few days of using my arms again (between 3-6 hits over 24 hours) my whole arms are badly bruised.  Even before going back to my arms (but worse since I went back here to my arms), I was getting bruising on my arms & legs, in areas (many tops of arms & legs), where I have not injected. Ás I said I had injected heroin for several years & had bruised before but no where near as bad as this.  Can anyone please help. In general & definitely about the bruising.  Thanks

Scotland - Weaver is so right. I have seen people get involved with bath salts. It is scary. I have a family member who is hooked. He is literally now mentally ill. A danger to himself and others. He has attacked his parents when under the influence.

Please we are not making this up. Or exaggerating. This is serious stuff. There is a reason it is illegal here in the US.

Those salts mess up your brain too, you can only see the bruises though. Opiates alter the brain, but rarely damage it, that's why the FDA allows doctors to hand them out like candy, aholes. H is not as pure as prescriptions, but way less toxic than burst. Those salts are the only drug I've seen screw someone up faster than crank. Dude, I don't judge anyone, but I'd like to see you live long enough to have choices in your future. You just tried it, so you haven't messed yourself up yet. Sobriety is best and bath salts are the worst. I believe that Russian crokodile drug was a form of bath salts, bad stuff. Like you said, there are several kinds, all of them kill.

You are also in my prayers because this stuff is going to kill you!  I agree...H would be less deadly.  So, you need to stop before you get gangrene.

I'm a nurse so I know what you're talking about as far as the bruising goes. I can't help you though because I don't want to contribute to this behavior. Seriously consider getting away from this crap, please? We can help you through it.

My teen class was talking about this very thing last night.  There were record high deaths from people abusing bath salts by injecting them this summer.  Who cares if it's legal?  Why are you doing this to yourself?
You need to find the answer to that question.  You really need and desrve some help.  You deserve to live and find true happiness.  I am afraid for you.  Please consider all that has been said and get yourself some help.

So, your main concern is about bruising? That is terrifying. Truly terrifying that bruising is all you can see. If we told you how to use IV drugs properly without bruising would you leave this community and continue to use?

You need help honey. You need serious professional help. "Normal" people  (whoever they are) do not wake up in the morning and decide to inject poison into their veins. Only us addicts do that crazy shyt. Drugs are a symptom of what is really going on with you. You need to get to the core issues and learn how to live life without the use of drugs. I am glad you came here and reached out for help. Please consider getting help in a one on one environment. You are in my prayers.

I almost want to say you would be better off shooting the herion than that stuff but I know I shouldn't say do herion.  Honey you really have to stop this, this stuff is so bad and like I said. But I pray that you soon will want to stop this end addictions to anything and live a sober happy and healthy life!  When you are ready there are many great people on here to help you learn how to do so and help you through withdrawal. Being clean is so rewarding trust me you could be a so much better and happier you,  I'll pray u get there someday soon.

It's clear that you're seeking reassurance, almost trying to talk yourself into this not being a bad thing.

Hon, you're flirting with disaster.  You absolutely COULD lose a limb, and even your life.  This is very very serious.  PLEASE get help, and quickly.

Just noticed the other comments sorry.  The people I no who have had the problems mentioned have been not cooking it enough so they are injecting crystals 2 get better high

Thanks for replying.  It is a type of Bath salt, but there are loads of other ones. Only tried 1 though.  Its bit like mix crack & E. Loads people have stopped heroin after using them. I've not used heroin for about 6 weeks now,  but that's not why tried it.  Am in Scotland

WHY WHY WHY???  why would anyone do this to themselves???  if i were you i would admit myself to the nearest hospital and tell them what you have been injecting and after being medically cleared get into detox.

Ok PLEASE STOP NOW!!  I did some reading on this stuff. People are dying. The stuff is very corrosive so it kills your veins etc. from the inside out. People have had limbs amputated.  My gosh it sounds horrible. Reminds me a lot of that Krokodil crap that eats away your limbs you inject.

So please. Nothing is worth this. You are seeing affects with the bruising already. Don't let it get worse.

And where are you from that there are so many people on that stuff.  Its crazy how many herion addicts there are around where I live but I've never heard about that stuff around here just that bath salt stuff.

God honey you have to stop shooting that stuff thats horrible. And this is coming from an ex herion addict,  u really don't even know what is in that stuff. What do you get out of it like what kind of high?  Are u trying to quit using herion and you think this isn't  as bad for you?  I have no idea why you are brusing so bad probably just whatever is in it making that happen but it can't be good! Have you ever thought about trying to get and stay clean for good off everything?
