Hi honey, and welcome:
I second what jifmoc has said....we are all here because we couldn't stop taking something that was harmful to us. For me, it was opiates; for you, its' weed.
My daughter is in her 20's and a BUNCH of folks she went to school with smoke pot 24/7. None of them are doing much of anything with their lives. I've said this before: the marijuana being grown/sold nowadays is SO STRONG compared to what I smoked back in my days (the 70's/80's). The THC content is near 40%.
I was watching an episode of Mike & Molly, a show I usually like, except it glorifies alcoholism (the mother) and dope (the younger daughter). But to illustrate my point, there is a scene in which the mother and daughter are getting high and the mother (played by actress Swoozie Kurtz, who looks anorexic to me) says to her pot-head kid "In my day, we'd have to burn a whole nickel bag to get this ripped." Supposed to be funny, I guess.
But it does make my point...I think tis a lot harder to stop smoking pot than it used to be.
You cannot do this alone...if you could, you would have successfully quit already. You need to pick a date to stop, accept you are going to feel crappy for a while (you can google "withdrawal from marijuajna"...there is a bunch of information on it on the internet) and then get into some sort of support group. NA or AA.
Sobriety is hard. I am 66 days sober from prescribed oxycodone, and I'm experiencing depression that is scaring me. My first phone call today is to my doctor to go back on Prozac. And I need to step up my aftercare...
Let us know what you decide to do, honey. Life on drugs *****. It isn't glamorous or fun. Look at history and see all the talented people who left this earth way too soon because they wanted to get high so much.
Good luck to you...

Hi, Jasha, no haven't ever been addicted to weed but it sounds like that is just your drug of choice. It doesn't matter what we choose, it's the fact that we're addicts. Why don't you check out NA or AA? The only requirement is a DESIRE to get clean. You don't need to be clean, you just need to WANT to be clean.
We can't get clean alone, in our own heads, otherwise we all would have done it long ago. Please do check out aftercare:)
