Suboxen

Had back surgery and became addicted to pain pills.  Surgeon sent me to a pain clinic and started suboxen on May 2 of this year.  I had been taken as much as 16 mg a day over the past three weeks.  Since May 21 I have been on the same 8mg strip and will probably run out tomorrow morning.  I do not want to be on this any more.  Does anyone have any idea how bad my withdrawals will be and for how long.

That is pretty high to jump off sub and you where taking 16mg the last 3 weeks. I'd get more. Some may disagree, but I guess you'll be in pretty bad shape for a solid month at least. Some don't have withdrawal, but it's rare. You weren't on it too long, so it will not drag out for months or a year like long term use causes. The high dose jump is what worries me. Go to the doctor, get more, and form a taper plan. That's what I'd do. If you are set on doing it CT, get everything in the post above. Great info. Try not to feed your anxiety. Try not to anticipate anything. Stay in the moment and remember it will pass. Remember the drugs are what made you feel this way and wait. Get all your supplies within 3 days, you won't likely want to go in public much after that. Taper or CT we support you. Keep us posted.

Hi Jimmy.. Welcome to the forum.. I can not say how bad the wd will be as that was a fast taper but then you were not on them but a month.. Look up the Thomas recipe this is a detox plan You can replace the Valium with Valerian Root as it will help with the anxiety.. You also may want to pick up Hylands restful leg to help with rls of the legs/arms also a sports drink to keep your electrolytes balanced and hydrated and snack foods our Ensure the drink for elders it has a lot of vitamins in it. you can get this stuff at walmart.. There is also the Amino Acid Protocol it is Vitamins and such many swear by for mood and energy.. You can find this on the bottom of the page. lots of hot baths our showers force yourself to walk if you can and in about 5 days you will notice a easing of the symptoms.. I wish I could say for sure 5 days but I do not know for the sub. It does have a half life so the wd will not set in fully for a few unless you have been in already due to the taper.. Keep reading the forum and pick up tips on how to get thru this and also for support.. You can do this.. lesa
