Hello, I am in the process of finding a doctor that will accept my insurance hopefully.
I used to receive methadone for pain, Then my doctor cut me off, and said go to a clinic, because he was under
pressure by the gov. to stop using it as pain management. I ended up at the clinic from Hell. It screwed with my job / schedual / family life / and my pride. I had never been approached so often by other patients asking me if I'm Good'
?Do I need any pills etc etc I would get in and out of there as fast as I could. Thank god someone still thought of us as human, and created suboxone. I know my PG is a bda example and in a worse neighborhood, and realize it does repair and save lives. But for me I just can't take it any more. The stigma attached, and way I'm treated in there. SOOOOO , I'm trying hard to gather research on a good short term opiate to use as a bridge for a month while my body loses the methadone. It does really, take longer than your doctors tells you, even though it won't show on a test after whatever amount of days it does linger a LONG time in withdrawl. It's very tricky to do this so far for me, I want to use a 'bridge' drug as I call it. But can't find a doctor to help me do this. I have had doctors 2 now- tell me(under the table) Do What ever you have to do!!! Meaning get something from a friend. And I really really AM trying to avoid that. I want to do this thing right. Anyone have any ideas of what would be a good short term opiate while the methadone leaves my body. It's much easier to get on suboxone from a short term O. Rather than directly from methadone. Any ideas of what kind of doctor I can find that may help me through this, I've been having trouble, the only one I found willing to help wants a lot of cash! I may have to go that way but am still trying to avoid it all though probably worth it? But what if I want suboxone maintanance Will I be paying cash like this forever? I don't know what to do? Has anyone gone through this here? Or any ideas' Thank YOU!
