How long before your brain is back to normal?

As i mentioned on my earlier post, i was on vicodin on and off for about 4-5 months (including bouts with percocet and tramadol). there were 3-4 days when i couldn't get some and i went through the WD process and felt like ****, so i found ways of getting some.

now, i'm quitting CT (also, i don't have anymore and don't plan on finding ways to get some)

i read a posting that said the brain can take months or even years to get back to "normal"; is that true? if so, that's pretty scary and is a blow to my recovery process. Maybe a month, but months or years???

PLEASE HELP!

Day 1 of my WDs....

There are things to help the brain heal in that recovery process. On the right side of the page is a section called Health Pages. The amino acid protocol is specifically for that.

If you were takeing pain killers for only 4-5 months, don't worry. You should be back to normal within a month or sooner.  Very smart of you to stop now before really getting into the hell and doing long term damage. Hang in there and be strong.
