Methadone weight gain..tapering and still fat!!

I have been on methadone for over a yr now and started at 5'6 and 120muscular lbs.. I am recovered anorexic so I don't weigh myself but I know I've gained at least 40lbs! I got up to 95mg and in a few months have made it down to 20mg as of today:) I ignore the sugar cravings if I get any and hardly eat anything and stay pretty active walking alot fast paced and work. I was told that once you get down to a third of your highest dose the weight should come off too but it's not happening for me! I was buying sub on the street before i moved and I couldn't find any so a friend told me about a stupid clinic. I had NO IDEA what i was getting myself into until a cpl months in and it was too late. Had I known I probly woulda just suffered a while and been done. Esp considering one 8mg strip lasted me 3-5days! I thought about switching over but decided if I have come this far I don't want to start all over on anything and I just want to be done with ALL this **** and not need anythi g to feel ok if that makes sense. Any help would be great on how to make this weight come off. I used to eat whatever I want after two kids and still looked and felt great. Now I feel and look disgusting and can't wear anything in my wardrobe but can't bring myself to break down and but "big girl" clothes. Some say oh your not fat but they are just being nice and is ladies know when we feel we are it! Any help would be appreciated and best to all those trapped in this methadone he'll... Thank you

Are you still with us?
We have many of us that came off Methadone. Are you off of it all now, or still cutting back? Plz give us some more info?

The weight should come off when you get off the drug, but make sure you eat small healthy meals every 2 1/2--3 hours a day. Make sure that 2oz of lean Protien is in them meals/snacks at all times. Give us a Update if you are still here?
