Need tips please!!

My last hydro use was Dec. 16 and I have had a really easy time to be honest UNTIL NOW!!   I have been thinking/craving pills for 2 straight days...  I have basically laid in bed feeling worthless.  My self-esteem is at an all time low too.  I stopped Welbutrin cold turkey on Thursday as well.....    Any encouragement is welcome as, for the first time, I'm thinking of calling the pill lady tomorrow.   thanks so much

It is most likely from stopping the wellbutrin .Wellbutrin works on your  dopamine levels.Two weeks is awfully quick to get off It .it really has not even had time to start working as well as it could for you .When people go off it it really needs to be tapered down ...

agree with ronnie..why stop the wellbutrin ?  it may have been helping and could even be replacing a deficit that caused u to use in the first place as many addicts are dopamine deficient?  there is an article in the health pages called 'intervention for cravings"...read it as it makes alot of sense...what were the reasons u quit the pills?

thanks so much you all....  I thought I had it 'beat' ---   I'm just so into the coulda, shoulda, woulda mode...  thinking back 20 years where I made mistakes (drop out college, etc.)   anyways, you guys are great and thank you

As Ga Guy said it probably has a lot to do with stopping the wellbutrin, but also has to do with cravings. Cravings can make us depressed, no motivation and so many negative thoughts. My first month clean i craved everyday and i craved BAD and felt like you do right now. Your getting close to that 30 day mark and it could also be PAWS. It may be the combination of everything, lol. ok not funny.

The fact you posted this says your NOT gonna give in cause your asking for help. Cling close to this support group right now and this feeling will pass. The last thing you need is a pill so don't make that mistake, you will feel worse than you do now. Hang in there and keep posting.

why would you stop welbutrin? you must of needed it, and now even more. I would start taking it asap. I am start pozac tomorrow. After you have been clean, talk to your dr about stoppinh it or changing to something else. good luck!

Come on Kfred...get up out of bed and come out fighting again.....You got it in you.  You are not worthless at all.  Idle minds is the devils playground!!!  Get yourself busy.  You are doing so well and you and i both know taking pills isnt the answer.  That is a dead end street.........keep posting and stay strong        sara

I agree with Ga Guy. I think a lot of it is the c/t off the Welbutrin. If you call your source you'll have to start all over :(

I think a lot of this is from cutting the Welbutrin out Cold Turkey. All antidepressants need to be tapered off of. Maybe try going back on the Wellbutrin and tapering back down?

Oh dont do that you have made it this far,your almost at a month keep you head up this wont last it will pass also
