Nervous About Sharing

I want to share at my meeting tonight for the first time. But I am so nervous. I want to share what I wrote the day before I entered rehab: Tomorrow I detox hard core.. At work. Don't even know what to think right now. Scared ********. Going through Ambien detox currently. I have to ******* go to work tomorrow. Have ******* to. Just til 4:00 pm. Breathe. Make it til 4. That's all. You've done this before. You've done this before. 4:00. You can do it. Just do it.
So scared to go back. Need a meeting soon. Facing all I've messed up is truly hard.

Your doing so well. You are going to help many others and sharing how you feel or your thoughts on the topic at a meeting is going to help others. You help me all the time.
It'll just flow once you start.

Well, it is mostly like a benzo withdrawal. It acts like Xanax does in your body. I had bad tremors, and obviously, I did not sleep. It is doable depending on the amount you were taking. If you were taking as much as I was (up to 10 10 mg pills a night), it is best left for a doctor to taper you down.

I lasted two days before I went straight to a rehab and asked for help. Doxepin helps me sleep now, and that is not narcotic. However, I am out after tonight and plan on seeing if an over the counter helps.

If you are about to quit, I encourage you to see your doctor for a taper or taper yourself. If you are not abusing it, then you are fine. You will have many sleepless nights ahead, but you won't shake or feel like you are crawling out of your skin. Overall, it is not safe to detox from Ambien on your own. If I am being completely honest, it makes opiate withdrawal look like a walk in the park. But this is just my experience.

Just let it out. I agree with MsD. Once you start everything will flow. You will feel so good after you finish. It's like a huge boulder being lifted off of you. Take care!

Hey girl so glad you are getting out to a meeting tonight! Thats wonderful! Sharing is tough at first, but once you get started the words just flow. Sharing helps others get to know us and you will get a lot of support. Starting.at the beginning before you detoxed is good.  Start at the beginning. Wishing you good feelings and positive thoughts!
