New Format

MH is rolling out a new format slowly at this time.  Only a small percentage of people are seeing it.  There is alot of frustration with it as they have to work out some "bugs"(that is what we have been told).  If you are having issues PLEASE go to the bottom of the page and under Support click on contact us and send your issues in.  Also, logging out and back in should bring you back to the old format but this will only happen for awhile.  None of us know anything more about why the changes or what the goal is.  We dont want anyone to leave the forum over this.  Hopefully our feedback will help.  Feel free to message me Vic or Gnarly if you need to vent.  Most of you know i am not easily offended so vent away!!!  We will get thru this, somehow, someway.

I am now seeing the new format about 75% of the time when I log on and it is so cumbersome, They asked us to tell them "constructive criticism", but there isn't anything good to say. Sorry, thought I would take u up on the venting.  :)  I will send them a note. Even as  type this on the new format I am losing my mind...double-spaced sentences and hard to follow.  It will be interesting to see how it looks when I hit the "answer" button.  Thank you for continuing to encourage others to fight for a more user friendly format/program.

My   gosh don't change the format, as people on here are in a crisis situation and we sure don't need this new format, to make things more difficult for us. Please leave the old format alone.

i still don't want to see the new format, and it's for the same reason I don't like almond milk (I haven't tasted it yet).  I'm afraid to see it.  why freak with brilliance????

I have done the same thing under "contact us".  What they want to hear is what we don't like about the new format rather than, "I don't like it or put it back"

I am really sad about this.  The threads where there is only a single line to comment is really hard.  I can't see what I have typed.
This 30% new roll gives each of us a 30% chance of seeing it however I have tried to log in an out many times, over the last few days I can't get back to the old format.  I think I am stuck :) So sad

I think I am "stuck" as well, Dee, I am also seeing the new format creeping onto my profile page as some of my "friends" avatars are squares but some are now circles.  So, not sure how the new format will impact our profile/home pages.  And, I agree, I sent a bulleted list of what I personally found didn't work or seem user friendly. Change can be a good thing, as long as we see some benefit somewhere along the way. :)

I had a few issues at first. Had to look around for features that were familiar.  I posted in the wrong box.  Overall, I thought it had a more professional look.  When we all came here the first time it was new!  We figured it out. Change usually isn't pleasant but most all of you here will figure it out in no time.  I work in IT.  I know how frustrating it is to have stuff I want to use that's been moved.  Let the developers know about what truly doesn't work and be willing to try the new thing that just might be a little better.

yesterday i had the new format which i do not like at all it doesn't show the pics next to our names and so today its back to the old way? why do they do this? is it better or just different i dont like change lol hey if it aint broke dont fix it hahahaha

Hey everyone -

I assure you that we have passed your feedback onto our developers. There will be some things that are fixed (the comment box where you can only see a few lines, for example), and they are considering other changes.

Some of the changes will happen quickly, others may take a bit more time. We ask for your patience.

Hi All!
Most disturbing to me about the new format is, at least on this end, the posts appear without naming the poster. The net effect of that would be quite bad for a community gathering spot. Anyone else?

I whole heartedly agree Marcus.  It takes the community out of the community. Also the time it takes to figure out who it is and when they posted (2004!)  makes this site to time consuming for us who have jobs, lives and families. I barely have time as it is.

Mark- Even if you stay logged in, if you're in the 30% rollout group you'll see the new format. You're just not in that lucky group!

With the new format you see the title of the thread and how long it's been since someone replied. It doesn't say who replied. It doesn't show the name of the OP or the date. There's only the title until you open the thread and read.  It's a cold format.

They do know about all of our concerns. They just ask that you have some patience at this time.
