1st ight with no Norco - BAD!!

I'm detoxing at home with just my husband. I'm following the Thomas Recipe. I felt really tired last evening - took a hot bath and some OTC sleeping pills and crawled in bed.

Sleep would NOT come!! I tossed and turned - side to side - back to front for 2 hours!! Finally got up and laid on the couch for awhile. That helped. After awhile - I crawled back to bed and slept a little.

I got up at 3 am.

Any recommendation on getting some sleep tonight??

Today is day # 2 - 41 hours clean!!

Made some hot tea with honey - hope it helps.

Congrats on day 2... that's amazing! Melatonin works good, but the truth is sleep will come in time! For me Sleep and RSL has been the hardest part! It will get better with time! Hang in there and GREAT JOB!!!! Keep posting!

You can get melatonin at any grocery or drug store. I recommend taking around 3 mg about an hour before bed!

Melatonin - do I need a script for that? Get it at the health food store?

I have 2 small Shih Tzu that have to be walked. They are looking at me now - with that look in their eyes.

Ugh, the lack of sleep and broken up sleep was the worst!! You're doing great though and you're almost through the worst of it!! You're doing the right thing with taking epsom salt baths, and you can try taking some melatonin (natural sleep aid). Just be patient and the sleep will come with time. I think I got my first good sleep around 6-7 days but was sleeping around 4 hrs at a time by day 4 or 5. If you can muster up the energy try to go for a small walk today...that will help with the sleep, too! Thanks for updating and we're cheering you on!

Congrats to you! Your starting out GREAT! For me, otc sleep meds made it worse instead of better. The rls was insane... Again, worse with the sleep aids..its different for everyone so idk an exact time frame for u. I have been taking melatonin as a natural sleep aid... Maybe u could try that? Best of luck to you and I know you are going to do amazing. Hang tight!!
