Norco withdrawals

Hi everyone,
I am new to this website and I could use some advice asap! I had been using norco for about 2 years daily.. started with just 1 a day and before i knew it, i was up to 8 a day. I am trying to quit, and yesterday was my first full day without any at all. It was HELL. I confessed to my bf that i have a problem and cried the whole day. He is very supportive and trying to help, but i dont know how to get passed this. i keep sweating and freezing, plus having to use the restroom every 20 min or so. Im an emotional disaster, and i am afraid to face the real world after all this time. should i wean off of these devil pills or try to tough it out?
thank you so much

How are you doing?  I personally tapered when I went off but some people find that hard to do.  Can you have someone hold the pills for you and give them to you on a schedule?

Do not go off them all at once. Start with taking  one and half a day for a week than one for a week and half than half for a week than half every other day for a week than half every two days. Than none,.

Thank you guys so much. I broke down and took one pill today, as I couldn't function at work... It's much better than the 8 I usually take but I feel ashamed that I gave in to this one. Also, I'm going on vacation next week and I can't tell my family about this addiction nor do I want the flu symptoms while I'm there. I don't want to keep making excuses for myself to keep taking these awful pills but I feel like I should wean off of them? What do you think? I really appreciate any feedback

everything Sarah said is absolutely right. YOU are SOOOOO very worth the fight. stick close to this site so we can encourage and support you through this! You can totally kick the pills to the curb. The fear of the wd's is worse than the actual experience and its only temporary. brace yourself for the flu and you will be feeling better in no time at all. HANG in and HANG ON! you CAN do this!

I am glad you posted to the forum.  We will help you get thru this.  I know you are feeling really bad right now but this part is only temporary.  Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids.  Try to stay away from caffeine as that will interrupt your sleep.  Immodium will help with the bathroom issues.  Hot baths or showers will help the aches and pains.  Try to be up and moving around as much as you can.  If the sun is shining go and sit outside for awhile.  Your emotions will be all over the place for awhile and that is okay.  Sneezing should start too.  We have to rid our body of the toxins and you will get thru this.  Do you have any pills laying around?  You are worth this fight so hang in there.  Stay close to the forum~
