I think they invent the cure and then invent the disease
Teach kids things in public schools? LoL! You aren't asking for much!
I say kick all the political activists that have infiltrated it at all levels out, and make it go back to teaching kids what the need to know, namely how to read and write, do arithmetic, learn some basic life skills and work ethic!
Of course the RX companies want our money! Why else do you think they spend so much money advertizing their latest drugs on TV every 5 mins? And have politicians in their back pockets so that anyone who finds a CURE for something, can't? RX companies don't want cures, there is no money in that! They want to treat problems, so you stay on their pills forever!
Rx companies want our money! The government is in cahoots with the rx companies and we are the pawns that fall for it! Not no more! Actually a dentist got me. They NEED to educate kids in SCHOOL about the dangers of getting addicted. I hope they are now. Schools are stupid too! Money is the root of all evil I say!
I choose today, to not give into the drug companies. If I get the pills from a doctor or by any other means!
Yep! That little blue figure to the left of my nic radiates the look of someone with lots of knowledge!
Joking aside, I began learning and putting into practice healthy living years ago when I got sick and tired of being sick and tired, and always going to the doctor in hopes of getting some magic pill that would make me full of vim and vigor again. I would end up even sicker because of the side effects from pills; but it's the American way, isn't it? Plus it's all most Doc's know how to do, hand out a pill for everything.
I guess I just took an interest in nutrition and how our body chemistry works and learned a lot of things over the years.
I'm not saying there isn't a legitimate use for modern medicines pills, just that Doctors don't bother to find the root cause of people's problems, they just treat symptoms and hand out pills.
If you go to a doc and tell him you feel depressed, 99% of the time you will come home with Xanax or Prozac, or some other antidepressant rather than be told to try adjusting your diet or take an amino acid supplement to try pinpoint the problem and provide some immediate relief while trying adjusts your diet to see if it improves.
Millions of people are walking around popping antidepressants for years, thinking they have some kind of permanent genetic disorder when they don't. They were just eating at McDonald's 5 days of the week, ordering Pizza's and Chicken delivery on the weekends for "variety". The majority of Americans have a slice of tomato, some wilted lettuce, green peppers and mushrooms melted into cheeze and think that meets their dietary requirements for veggies, LoL!
YUK! To think I used to eat that crap! I haven't had any of that garbage for many, many years now. I prepare and cook all my meals and enjoy doing it. When you are unhealthy, you feel like coming home after work and doing nothing. I start thinking about what I want to make for dinner in the middle of the afternoon and can hardly wait to get home and start cooking, LoL! And it tastes so much better than any crap you can get from take out or most restaurants.
Thank you very much for the advice! You look like you really know what your talking about!
The only amino acid that could cause tingling and itching is Glutamine, but that would only be possible if you were taking a huge overdose. It would also cause vomiting.
Amino acids in general cause very few side effects, but if they do, it's always because of overdose. Other amino acid overdose symptoms are:
- Amino acid supplements arginine and creatine nausea, abdominal cramps and discomfort.
-Amino acid supplements arginine and glutamine may cause diarrhea.
-Anxiety, irritability, fatigue and depression are the most common amino acid side effects, but usually happen as a result of interactions with prescription medications, or taking too much.
I would be inclined to go with your first observation, dry skin from salt baths, which can easily become inflammed after scratching.
A good vitamin E enriched skin moisterizer should help prevent further irritations.
I stopped the salts 2 weeks ago. I think I may have just over done it. Maybe, I am allergic to something. Anyway, it comes and goes. Just talking about this is bringing the itch back! I am sure it will go away!
Thank you everyone for your help!

If you've got an itch that needs to be scratched, I'm available for a modest fee...
Actually, Condi, my English Mastiff, is also available (although she charges doggie-treats;-)
Congrats on Day-21 sister!
oooo I think will just add iching to the list of post withdrawal symptoms...Gnarly
It could be the salts combined with sweating it out. Rinse off well when you use the salts and get a good moisuturizer :)
Hope it's not the regular stuff that makes us itch.J/k I am on day 21 too and going back to work in a minute nervous
Wow you're up early for being west coast
Thank laurel453. I think your right about something I am taking!
sorry, no idea about this but some people have had rashes and felt itchy, this was not my case...i am not sure that the baths with epsom salts could affect this way after a couple of weeks so maybe it is something you are taking now
