Opening Day to Freedom

Easter ,,,,He has risen indeed!!! 

I went to a new church for Easter. It was a great message. He compared opening day of baseball season to Easter. Opening day is so great because the past season means nothing, you have a clean slate no errors, pop flies, losses as a matter of fact you have a perfect record. I am trying to imagine Mary's surprise when she found the tomb empty & her joy when the Lord appeared to her. Mary was a prostitute with a checkered past that lost her Lord to the cross. She had been locked into a bad season......Then out of nowhere the reserected Lord appears to her and grants her a new season or if you like another opening day. 

I compared that to myself. I have a checkered past, with anger, a terrible drug addiction and have been divorced. In January of this year I again was in a real bad season. Lost in my addiction and miserable. Then I asked God for help and He freeley gave me a new season!  He has done this for me not once but twice,,, as a matter of fact He gives new seasons everytime we humbly ask. The only requirement is that I MUST let go of the old season. 

Do you need to get clean - or -  a new season?  God grants all who ask a new season, a perfect record with a totally clean slate that garnished with His love!!!  Everyday with Christ Jesus is a new season ,,,,,,Amen !!!!

I Praise God for his amazing love, creation, mercy, power and forgiveness for all who ask!

Yes I too need a new season and am letting go of the old. In reality, there is nothing good in the old to hang onto. It has brought me nothing but heartache and pain. Trying to anesthetize myself with drugs has gotten me no where. I do know who my true Source is, I just didn't turn to Him in my time of need; I turned to pills instead. I AM SICK OF LIVING THIS WAY! I am on a new path and new road, a new season. Oh God be my strength through it. Thanks for sharing - it encouraged me greatly!
