I'm back and on 3rd day clean.

Honestly it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be BUT the cravings have been brutal today. Any advice on how to conquer them. I've cut all my connects so I have no access but I almost got in my car to go on the hunt today.  I stopped myself but I was very close.

That's good. I couldn't get to meetings for a long time and this place was my oasis. Helped me so much. You've been here before and now this, but we are here for you and will be every step of the way.

Hey, that's a start. Not cutting out our sources is probably the area that catches most folks up. If we know we have a back up plan, then we are likely to use it when we have a rough day, cravings, etc. Be sure to delete all the numbers of friends that use, dealers, etc. Do you have any plans for after care?

I don't know if it was a smart move or not but I turned my phone off and plan on changing my number when I turn it back on. At least having everyone that contacts me go through my wife is kind of a safety net. Last time I didn't cut everyone I needed to out of my life. Trying to just focus on her and my kids and forget the rest as best I can.

Hi there and welcome back! The only thing that ever worked for me to stop the cravings was to stay as busy and distracted as possible. Just know that the more time you put between you and your DOC, the fewer and farther between these cravings will be. Now, since you are back for another go, what are you planning to do differently this time? Obviously something wasn't working the last time you tried to quit. We have all been there. We just have to alter our recovery plans. Keep what works and get rid of the rest.
