I worked 12 hour shifts and moved my house while detoxing off methadone then I went to the beach, was the hardest thing i have ever done but it made me keep moving
The thought of going to work gave me gut rot...but once I was there, the time went alot faster than when I was watching the clock at home, and stuck in my stinking thinking, feeling sorry for myself.
Actually working is the best thing for you even tho it doesnt feel like it. The more you are up and moving the better. Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids also.
I have to agree with the above. Back in 2012 I could not sleep for months & my anxiety was on the moon for so long. The first 30 days I had to get up and go out from sun up to sun down..This did help SO much..It was when I stated to kick a bit is when it all got worse..SO, yes try to do the best you can to keep your self redirected from your thinking..Make sure you are drinking tons of water and have a healthy diet with some good natural vit/min..Exercise, Sun and Music helps raise those happy chems/hormones back up in our brain that we have so knocked out of whack while using. Just give this all TIME & with Time comes PATIENCE..We are all the same in one way, but different in other ways.
Wishing you the best,,Surrender to the Process and you will be up & running soon.
Bless
I did it and I was coming off a high dose of oxy ct. As bad as it sucked it was still better than laying around the house watching the clock slowly move. I was able to sleep more after being at work. I know it sounds crazy but my worse days were when I was off work. It's helps if you have a positive attitude going in to it. Just tell yourself I can do this! Just use some imodium so your not running to the bathroom all day. Good luck...
i have known ppl that worked while in w/d, usually because they had to, and were determined to keep pushing on , it can help to keep your mind off it, (w/d symptoms) although you will feel it and must just focus on work.
the human mind is an amazing thing! It can pretty much do anything it is determined to do, positive thinking brings us the advantages we desire......
Thank you can you read my previous post "I need help' that will tell you about my usage and I work from 9 to 1
this would depend on , how much and how long you have been using, and i really think attitude would play a big part, and of course what type of employment.
