any time...i'll be around...this isn't your first time thru detox so you kind of know what to expect...hang tough. You really need off this roller coaster...you're way too young to waste your life on these pills. We are here for ya!!
You are very welcome. A couple of things I forgot to mention. You are on day 4, so you should be at or close to the peak of the withdrawal symptoms. Hopefully, you should start feeling better in a few more days. The emotional stuff (crying) is very normal, and I actually think it's good to let your emotions out. For me, the crying was cleansing. Let the tears flow! Also, make sure you are staying very well hydrated. Drink lots of water, Gatorade, etc... This will help speed the process and help get the toxins out. If you can't or don't feel like eating, drink some Ensures or Boosts. You need to keep up your strength. Lastly, try to get some mild exercise. Walking outside is best. The fresh air will help with fatigue, and sleep issues. For me, getting outside was the best remedy. Again, keep posting and let us know how you are doing.
thank you toothfairie.. I just might do that this evening.. so look out for me ;)

Hi StayingClean, and welcome to the forum. I really hope you will stick around and continue to post about your progress. You will find a lot of wonderful advice and support here. You have quite a story! Sadly, it sounds all to familiar. Many of us, including myself, have been through something similar. It sounds like you are fairly well prepared to go through the physical withdrawal process. Just one warning about the Kratom. I do not have any personal experience with that substance, but I have read that it is addicting, and can be difficult to quit. Please be careful and aware. You may want to do some research on it. It's great that you have dumped all of your friends/dealers. That is an absolute key for long term success! You also should consider some form of aftercare. Something such as AA/NA meetings, therapy, counseling, etc... This will also help to ensure that you stay clean and do not relapse again.
Take care! I wish you all the best. Please stay with us and keep posting. I believe we can help you, and that you have a lot to offer here. Happy Holidays! Keep moving forward, day by day!
Hi & Welcome,
A couple of things I will suggest: get rid of the Kratom. It is addictive and you don't need a substitution now. Lyrica is also known to be addictive for those who have the disease of addiction. If it were me, I would get rid of that. Cough syrup? Is there any opiate in it? If so, lose that. The reason I say this none of that suff will probably help with your withdrawal and in fact may prolong it. I know you want to be done with this so I am just suggesting what I would do/have done.
Try and keep yourself busy. It's Christmas and it is tough for many people this time of the year. Know that there will only be a few more days of the physical and that part will be over.
I am glad you found this community. It is very slow today and will be through tomorrow so be patient as people come on and will talk with you. Hang in there and ask questions as you need to. It helps just knowing you can talk about things without being judged.
