Percocet withdrawls

I am on day 3 fighting the devil. The chills, upset stomach, RLS, you name it I got it. How long before this subsides.
I have been taking 12 10/325 per day the last two years or so. When will the withdrawls stop? any feedback will be greatly appreciated

Hey don't put yourself down you are not worthless you are a fallible human being as we all are. I know when we in the throws of w/d we really feel down on ourselves, but just look at what your doing. You are being a man and facing your demons. Please keep it up your are doing great and YOU WILL DO THIS. You should be turning the corner any day now. So next time you look into that mirror look at the successful person you are for getting your life back. I am praying for you and asking God to give you strength and to guide you through all of this. Remember you are worth this and it takes a strong person to do what you ARE doing. God Bless---Rick

I probably missed your initial post... Do you have legit pain/ health issues? If so, then you should let your doc know what you are trying to do. When you detox, pain - real or imagined - is amplified. Your body is adjusting to the absence of being constantly bombarded with meds. As time passes the pain will decrease. But like I said, folks with real pain who are tired of being on pills really should get their doc involved.
Day 3 is generally the hardest of the bunch. Day 4 will be difficult, but the creepy crawlies were gone on day 4. I remember the times that I wished there was a zipper somewhere so I could in zip and step out of my own skin. It does get better with time. Look at it this way - you started this thread about 4 hours ago! That's 4 down. Now on to day 4. I promise youmthatnit will get much, much better. And listen - YOU AREN'T JUST A JUNKIE. We are many things; unfortunately addiction happens to be a part of us, but it can be made a very small, controlled part. Like I said, over dramatizing and over evaluating everything we do or have done is just a part of mid-detox. Don't sell yourself short. Don't beat up on yourself. It's silly and serves no purpose. Really. You CAN be proud of what you're doing. I'll leave you with what my doc said after I told him that I'm an addict and wanted to quit " Good for you! Few people can admit that they have a problem, and fewer still will ever do anything about it!". You and I are in the "fewer still" group. Welcome aboard!

Smokinggunn You are doing great and you should be turning the corner at anytime. I know it's tough but keep your eyes on the prize "Getting your life back".

As far as settling your stomach you should try some peppermint tea it works wonders. For the anxiety try some Valerian root tea it helps you sleep and will calm your nerves. For the pain try putting cinnamon it chamomile tea as cinnamon is a natural anti-inflammatory and does help with pain.

Once your stomach calms down you can try some California Poppy, it is a cousin to the Asian Poppy but without the opium. I has the same analgesic properties as the Asian Poppy but won't make you addicted since it contains the same type alkaloids. You can get it at the health food store or an Asian (Chinese market).   I hope this helps you as it has for me.
