Please help, need advise!
Started out 28 yrs age with carpel tunel and PT, then came fibro and pain managemet with nasids , not tolerated,as the pain got worse I was perscribed darvecette. At this time I was still a working thriving part of our family. Then it seemed like the roof caved in on my body. The pain was now being called osteoauthoritis with a side of fybro.
My doctor then put me on Kadian (a type of morephine) after a while I can say I felt worse because I now was addicted to these drugs and had all the pains from before and with all of this going on could not function in the matter my husband thought I should."working" He Began calling me a "pill popper"etc.) and of course the three children were questioning. Any who, I was fed up with myself too. SO I went off of everything, cold turkey, I was taking ambian,klonipin, prozac,soma+the others.The first week was very rough, flu symptoms big time, hot showers worked great.During that week there was a rerun of a trilogy of movies that I watched from many differet positions, as I constantly rolled. But they did keep me grounded. I made the mistake of not getting enough fluids or foods. At the beginning of the 2nd week I got the big container of Pedelite, mixed about an ounce or more with juice, this has to be comsumed in a 24hr period, along with 2 containers of gatorade. no caffine.My sister called me every hour around the clock and made me get up and drink 11oz's of fluid after I ate a few bites of anything, no big meals aloud. WOW! I felt like a new person the next day. I had made my mind up that I wanted to do this.But afterwards slowly but surely the old pains started creeping bac one by one.. It hurts to walk, knees, hip,back, etc.) I need to get back to work but going to the store is a great accomplishment for me. Come home crying with the pain and the fact that I don't have any ideas how in gods name I can work like this.
Any feed back or suggestions or if anyone has gone through similar a way to get back on my feet,soon. Please write. Thank you for sharing.

So the pedelite helped? There are all kinds of new (non addicting) mediines for arthritis and I believe Lyrica is a new one for fibro. Does any of the otc meds help? After I quit the pills most of my pain quit. I wish you well, you made the right choice to quit the pills.
