Way to go! Congrats on day 4(!). Sounds like you're over the hump. (Sleep's nice, eh?) Yeah, the sun really helps with mood. If it's hot enough it also helps you sweat those toxins out!
I looked into your other thread & I don't want to repeat what others have already said about aftercare to protect your hard-won gains but obviously this is the crux of the matter!
Great work & keep knockin' 'em down!
I am still up at camp but heading home tomorrow, I need atleast one more day to relax n try and get this stuff pumping out of my pores. There is a meetin on Sunday near my house that I am planning on attending. But for today I am going to go sit out in the sun and heat with my kiddie pool and sweat it out. Thanks for the words of encouragement, they are much appreciated. :)
Sounds good! Enjoy. Please, let us know how the meeting goest & how you're doing as you go along. (Big Smile To You On Day 4! Way To Go!)
Now you're feeling a little better, try to walk, swim, anything to get your heart rate up. Once the drugs are gone, exercise helps kick start your natural chemistry. It's not easy to get motivated or have the energy, but it does speed up recovery. Way to go on day 4. You're planning a meeting and posting daily, keep up the good work. It keeps getting better from here.
Sounds like you are doing great! So good to hear! Keep it up, sounds like you are over that hump! :)
I can't believe how much of a difference actually getting out n about makes! I am heading down to the water now. Thanks for the support!
I was able to get down to the water and swam for a few hours, it felt great. Now time to relax a little, I am sunburnt which probably isn't good but I am happy I got out. Thanks everyone for the support, I am hoping for a good night tonight as far as sleep goes but won't get my hopes up!
I am so glad to hear you are doing better. You sound so upbeat and positive! Be sure that you are drinking a ton of water especially being in the heat and sunburned. Crossing my fingers that sleep comes easy for you tonight. Take care!
Sounds like you are doing great !! Keep pushing it and you will be feeling yourself in no time ! awesome job friend !!
I am definitely a lot more positive today, I am drinking Gatorade the last thing I want is to be dehydrated! :) thanks for the encouragement!
Ricart70- thanks for the positive words, I feel this time was a lot different because I got out instead of sitting around dwelling on feeling bad. Thanks again!
Staying positive and rolling with the flow is so important. I slept on day 3, but even though I am feeling much better at day 12, sleep is sporadic. But at least I am resting comfortably most of the time. I've never made it this far before, but something is working better this time. However...I do have the typical lack of energy and motivation that is so hard to mediate....Like you, I have found that getting out and active really helps. Our family's lakehouse has always been my place of solace and it was there I went to deal with the first 3-4 days of detox. Peace friend. You are doing well. -Randy
I can tell you I am paying for being out in the sun yesterday, I feel nauseated and worn out.. I think today I will just be sitting in the AC as I feel worse today then the past couple of days :( I will make it through tho, thank you so much for all of the encouraging words. Day 5 today, I am proud to say that, I just keep telling myself it will only get better from here on out.
HI & Congrats on day 5! Yes, it's a bit of a roller coaster. Up..down..Up..down. Just remember that staying out in the sun could make even someone who isn't detoxing tired, etc. You've got a great attitude & I'm so happy to hear that you're proud of yourself. (We're proud of you, too!) Great Work!
Thank you so much for the support :) You are absolutely right being out in the sun can make anyone feel worn out! Just gotta keep on pushing through!
Sorry haven't been on much today been laying low and relaxing, then had to pack up and head home from camping. This sunburn is killing me, but still not feeling too bad. :) Day 5 will be coming to a close soon and off to day 6, I can only hope tomorrow will be an even better day. Thanks everyone for all the support, I will be sticking around here a lot and posting as much as possible. You are all amazing :)
Congrats on day 5 and on to day 6! You are doing great my friend! Do you have some aloe vera to put on that sunburn? It really helps, and you can even get it with lidocaine so it numbs that burning pain. Take care of yourself and enjoy your evening.
I have been putting aloe on the sunburn all day, I keep it in the fridge so its nice and cold! It is helping for sure! Going to try to catch some Zzz's its been a long day. Thanks for the support :)
Wow you are doing great; keep it up! I could never get the energy to go do anything but suffer. Everyone kept saying, get out it will help. I guess you are proof it does. It also sounds like you have put other things in place. I pray you have no sources. Great job; you should feel very proud :-)
Wow that's awesome that you are moving around and about so early on. Just getting myself in the tub took all the strength I had that early in detox. More power to you!! You are doing great!!!
I am still here and still fighting through, I had a good day today got outside and swam for most of the day in the pool. I can tell you I have wicked anxiety about work tomorrow, not sure why cause I have been pretty good but the thought of goin to work is really eating at me. :( what can I do to help with the anxiety? It's overwhelming.
Just think about how great you will feel when tomorrow takes place and is over with. It will take place and be over with. Make tomorrow night your "happy place" in your mind . You are doing so great . We are proud of you ;)
Try to 'disconnect' from the stress and anxiety. It's normal, and it will keep happening, just less often over time. For me it helps to listen to music, watch a really funny movie, chat on this site,go for a walk. Pretty much anything to keep you busy and keep your mind off of stressing. A hot bath can also be nice and calming. I think that you will find work to go just fine. It will help you to keep busy and not dwell on the lingering w/d symptoms. Try to have a nice relaxing evening!
keep up the good work, I am so proud of you!
hugs,
Lily
