Getting to the point where you say enough is enough is a big step..like others said rest...lots of water ,even if you dont feel like it..vitamin C, and whatever you take when you have a flu..let someone know whats going on with you so you dont feel so alone..you can do it!!  Everyone else can think you have a stomach virus or something. It gets better and you will feel better..Im only 5 days clean but this is my second attempt to quit..this time I mean it..Good luck..Everyone here is so nice and supportive..Good luck its SO worth it...

Congratulations on deciding this day is the day.  The holidays can be a trying time for anyone, and with kicking the pills it will be harder.  You CAN Do it.   As with what others have said, hot baths helped me 800mg motrin helped and immoduim.  I was 6 days of torture but it does get better.  Today has been almost 3 weeks for me and I feel wonderful.  the mind games seems to be subsiding too.  Stay in bed, with the "FLU" and you'll make it.  Deciding to quit is the first step.

I'm on day 5 and it's better. motrin 800 mg for the pain. it really does help. funny how I used to think it didn't. those little demons made your brain beleive you needed more! but I figured they can't do anything if I don't take them so I started taking them every like 6-8 hours and it really realy helps. have you been honest about this to your dr? mine gave me a catapress patch and I think that helped a ton with the chills/hot flashes and some other symtpoms. I also have ativan, but you have to be careful as that can be adictive too. but all I can say is good luck and we're all here for you. try to make sure you eat a little and try to get some vitamins in you and drink lots of water and try to do a little walking. I just was walking circles in my house! living room, entry, family room, dining room, kitchen, living room etc. just to move my legs a bit. and of course hot baths. you can do it!! all of us have started and are doing it you can too!

First 3 days were the worst for me. I am on day 6 and believe me the difference is like night and day.  This is a great site full of very strong individuals that have gone thru what u r going thru.  My advice is to stay close to this web site and let us know what is going on.  You can do it.  Detox symptoms won't last that long and remember you are strong.

Wow!!! Ditto to what Lesa and Lauel told you.  It sounds like you know this may be rough for a few days but ---- Oh the joy when you make it through to the other side -- the clean side.  I have been clean for more than three months now and I find things every day that I enjoy about being clean --- -Life is soooo  much better.  Please, Hang in there and keep posting.  It will be rough for awhile but will soon get better.  When you do make it through I hope you will return to post encouraging words to others who are trying to make the same journey.  All the best.
