Never heard of it, but maybe some that has will be answer soon.
Sorry to say, it's not anything to help with withdrawls.
No, I know it won't help with the withdrawal but I'm hoping it will help him not be so depressed and anxious? He's super negative right now.
REMERON® (mirtazapine) Tablets are indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder. The efficacy of REMERON® in the treatment of major depressive disorder was established in six-week controlled trials of outpatients whose diagnoses corresponded most closely to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders – 3rd edition (DSM-III) category of major depressive disorder (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY).
A major depressive episode (DSM-IV) implies a prominent and relatively persistent (nearly every day for at least 2 weeks) depressed or dysphoric mood that usually interferes with daily functioning, and includes at least five of the following nine symptoms: depressed mood, loss of interest in usual activities, significant change in weight and/or appetite, insomnia or hypersomnia, psychomotor agitation or retardation, increased fatigue, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, slowed thinking or impaired concentration, a suicide attempt or suicidal ideation.
Sounds like it might help him.
May be addictive, be careful.
Good luck
I was prescibed remeron for deep depression 4 years ago. I was on this up till 2 years ago and aside from helping with the depression the most benificial side effect was that is helped me sleep. I needed to take my dose which I think was 10mg about 1hr before bed and it would put me out. I am not sure about helping with W.Ds. Good Luck
I took this and it worked in just a few days. It REALLY helped me with depression. To me that was a big part of the wd's. You can pm me if you want more info. Good luck!
