Not a test a learning experience

I wrote a post a couple days ago about being tested(if u r interested read my previous post).Ive realized it wasn't a test of whether I would use.I feel it was simply a way of showing me I am strong and getting stronger.Also some sort of devine intervention that a family friend called w/n2hours of the call&discovery of a bag of pills I was asked2look4 who asked if I wanted2go2an amazing casino/hotel til Sunday which is exactly what I need/needed.I also.spent only$30-$40&won$280 after the little$I invested.Spent maybe1&1/2hours playing.

That's a great perspective on the situation! Instead of looking at it as temptation, you turned it around and used it to show that you are determined not to go back. Sure, we have to do what we can to avoid toxic situations, yet at the same time we never know when temptation may strike. Great job and glad you won some money and had fun :D

Thank-you so much minn.I made a conscious decision to flip the way I was looking at the situation.Im far enough along into my sobriety to know that even though Im an addict for the.rest of my life I dont have to use or need to just because its put in front of me.This would've been pure evil H E L L if I was a few weeks into my sobriety(not that it was a walk n the park even after all this time).I have an amazing group of people here to talk to day or night
