about to go ct soon

Has anyone used just s little bit of sub to get through withdrawals.I've been on 75mcg fetynal for less than a month and a few percs a day. I've been hearing horror strories about going CT off fetynal so I'm trying to taper it down right now. Really scared about it though I was only on perc before I wish I was never put on the patch. I'm hoping 25 days of being on it isn't that long.

I think I understand what you mean; you're reducing the percs while staying on the fent patch. I agree with everyone above. Taking more opiate is not the way to stop opiate. Look at it like you're in the best position possible right this moment. The longer you use the longer it will take to feel normal again when you stop. You're prescribing doctor will know exactly what to do. Don't delay getting an appointment. I fought long and hard to get off of opiates and wished I had of done it way sooner!  Best of luck to you.

I would stay away from the sub as you have not been on the patch for long. You say its been 25 days that you have been on it but you must have been on something strong before the 75mg patch as a doctor would not put someone on that high of a dose to start with. Not sure how you are tapering. The only way to taper off that patch would be for your doctor to go down to a 50mg patch for a while and then down to a 25mg patch. Best thing to do is talk with your doctor.

You only been on fent for a short time so it shouldn't be like mine or anyone else that have been on it for a long time.  my dad was on for a Month and felt better in a week

I agree with conhall...If at all possible stay away from the subs. 25 days isn't too bad; there will be withdrawals, but honestly, the worrying and stressing and imagining is worse than the actual detox. You'll have a couple of rough days and then it will be over. We're here for you.

PS >>> I would Definitely not use Subs for the WD of this especially if you have only been on them for a month. Make the jump now better than later when its 10 times harder each day that you keep these in your system it will be harder to just stop them with minimal wd symptoms.
SUBS should only be used under a doctors care that knows about SUB therapy and SUBS are way harder from what I have read to get off of.

I have No experience with the Fetynal patch , But you said you have been on the patch for less than a month? I would think if you stopped now your Wds would be minimal ? Like I said I have no experience with the patch but I do know about percs and if you just started both of these a month ago stop now and you will be much happier than waiting months down the road or years. What was reason Dr put you on these also you can talk with your Dr. and let Dr. know you want off these just be careful some drs. in my experience are more than happy to just keep you on them. Do your self a favor and get off if your condition allows it and maybe try Non Narcotic meds.
Good Luck and keep posting! :)
