WD sypmtons in waves?

Have a question - it feels to me like the worst of the wd sypmptoms seem to come in waves.  (detoxing off norco)

In between the 'bad' waves, I still feel like you-know-what, but it seems like every few hours they spike.  It this typical?

Thanks
Peanut

Thanks Michelle.  I'm also in TX.  Go HORN!

I had my last norco yesterday and my last morphine yesterday.  Today I have had one codine pill and a couple of muscle relaxants.  It has not been nearly as bad as I anticipated.  Yes, last night was rough with the RLS but I have the Hylands now (didn't do anything for me just now when I tried to take a nap) and hope that will work tonight.  I also got some OTC stuff for leg cramps.  As I understand from reading here, tomorrow might be pretty bad and I'm trying to save the codines for then.  I guess that is kind of a super-accelerated tapering schedule.  No risk of getting addicted to the muscle relaxants - i don't particularly care for the melty dumb feeling they give me.  But they are definitely taking the edge off the anxiety and mental obsessing and allowing me to focus on staying busy doing things that make me happy.  I was able to rest a little bit for about 2 hours.  With the RLS, it was not actual sleep and I really made my cat made as he kept getting bounced around.

How is it that you are pain free now?  Do you think the meds were causing the fibro somehow?

HI your not alone in the wave thing  my withdrawals were like that to especially the anxiety ..I had to withdrawal from methadone so mine where stretched out over a period of months with the worst ones coming from tapering the last 6 weeks...my final withdrawal lasted a good 7 days of the waves hitting it would be like "ya I dont feel great but I can handle it"
to what just happened every thing is out of control again ....I guess you got to look on the bright side we could have to go thew hard withdrawals the whole time...at least the wave thing gives you some recovery time in between...just hang in there...take a hot bath when you get hit by a wave ...it helps... also prayer if you believe in God Jesus came to set the captives free and theirs not to much more captivating then addiction and withdrawals ...keep posting it helped me a lot there is much support here
good luck and God bless......Gnarly

yes very typical.  most just feel like crap all the time, I know I did till about day 7 or so, then started to feel better, would see=saw for a couple days after that.  It all depends on how much, how long you took it.  I was on them for years and years off and on.  My w/d's were a nightmare and I never wanna go thru them again.  I like being pain free too.  I use motrin if I have to now, but you will find that over the counter remedies will probably work for your fibro once you are free and clear of narco.  good luck!!
