Hey Shelly..........
Sleep is usually the last to get back normal...I took OTC sleep aid called nighttime or something from tylenol.....I didnt feel those were habbit forming but with us...ya never know ...
also I took screamin hot bath right before bed....meaning the last thing for the night was going from bath straight to bed..i would also stretch at night.....stuff I learned from yoga i took before,,,,,,
also i would not do caffeine 3 -4 hours before bed...caffeine increased my anxiety duirng detox....
also I would run errands , walk, anything to stay busy in the day...all the way till bed time that way I was dead tired,,,,and no naps,,,,
stick around others have ideas as well,.,,

Hi Shelly,
I am going to bump this up, sorry it got overlooked. Is there anyway you can take a few days off? Some are able to work during detox but most people can't. Stay hydrated with vitamin water or gatorade, eat as healthy as you can and take Imodium for bathroom issues. Sleeping is the most difficult part for most. I drink nighty night tea, a hot bath right before bed and listening to a meditation cd helps me sleep. People compare it to the flu and say the worst is over between 3-5 days. Wishing you all the best
Hey Shelly..No expert here but, I am on day 5. Listen to these folks as I just started the forum today. For me I stopped on a Fri night so I could get the worst part over before work on Mon. That did not work that we'll because everyday has been tough. Although each day is better for sure. Try lots of fluids & melatonin at night. I just went on a short walk with my dog & I thought I would pass out. But, I did not and now I do feel better. You can do this just keep going & don't be afraid to ask for help on here. XOXO
Not usually to bad it's hard but stay focused if you can. Read the Thomas recipe is has some helpful tips.
Stay close keep posting.
Thanks everyone! Today is day 2. I am in this fog, does anyone know if that's normal? What can help with that? Suprisingly I feel a little better today. I keep expecting to feel worse though, as everyone says the 3-4 days are the worse. I found that if I keep busy it helps with the mental aspect of everything. My shift for work tonight is only 5 hours, so I'm hoping I will be able todo it. What am I saying? I KNOW I can do it!!
yes shelly616 you can do this, the fog is normal you may feel foggy for a lil while, and tired or heavy day two is was when my symptoms started kicking in, if you look at it like you have the flu its doable not comfortable but doable the more we think about how bad it might be the worse it really is. you are doing great keeping busy is a good thing keep your mind occupied things should start clearing up soon. I have 73 days now and if I can answer any questions you might have I will be happy to do so. stay hydrated lots of gatoraide vitamin water I like the ones that had potassium in them for restless leg prob eat when you can and if you can eat like a pig if you cant try ensure to keep your strenght up your body will need fuel. when you feel really yucky try relaxing I would sit and watch tv and try to get wrapped up in what I was watching to keep my mind off how bad I felt hang in there you are doing great. and I will also chim in when this lifts you will not believe how good you are gonna feel its like being free hang in there you are doing wonderful. also try the thomas receipe it works wonders and will help alot..
I can't seem to eat anything, the only thing I've eaten for the last 48hrs is bananas. My head is pounding, my legs ache. I went for a little walk, which was terrible but I know I needed it. Any advice helps!
YOU HAVE TO EAT. Try ENSURE. You'll feel like crap if you don't have nourishment.
Emergen-C helps water go down easier and has a lot of electrolytes or Gatorade, at least get plenty of fluids. Like Vicki said, Ensure or Spirutein protein drinks.
Today is day 3! I am definitely struggling. I've been able to keep some food down. I am exhausted & can't sleep. Feels like I'm losing it. Had to go to work last night...that was a JOKE! It hurt to walk (I'm a waitress) I felt like I was a giant B**** to all customers even tho I was trying my very hardest. Tonight I will work again, just hoping this gets better soon!
