How long......

Next week will be 90 days off pills. My question is have I been clean long enough for my body to return to its normal level of pain?
The reason i ask is because the fusion i had in feb. didnt fuse and the doctor wants to fix it. I don't want to go under the knife again because it will destroy my recovery.
My pain level is probably a 6 out of 10 constant but tolerable because im used to hurting all the time.

Have you tried steriod with lidocaine injections? Maybe you're a candidate for a kyphoplasty, a less invasive procedure. Maybe ask your doctor. I'm hoping you find some relief soon.  Without knowing your history it's hard to say, but at 90 days pain levels and body are still healing. Hang in there.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I too am looking at future surgery for a hip that is always slightly out of place. I realize this will probably require some pain medication and am scared of going back after getting clean off these evil drugs. But I have also seen alot of pple have the same problem, had surgery, and came back to their recovery.
Your pain receptors should be normal by now so you'll have to find the roo cause of the pain and handle it from there.
My best advice would to have someone you -trust- hold onto your medication after surgery. That way there can be no abuse.
Best Wishes xoxo
