So can You help me with the Moodness? My family will thank you

Well I just found out from a few of you that what I'm going threw now from my Cold Turkey off of Methadone that I have now Moved onto the Mood Swings. I do have to say I have not cried in Years....and I have had cancer 2 now.....and I use to be a Big time screamer .(.Before Pain Meds, ) I was just not grown up enough to handle all my kids by myself.

So with that in my back ground (No hitting...but Yelling is no good either) I don't want to be flipping out every two mins. Now I have So big Stress in my life at this time so this does not help ...So what I'm asking is is there anything out there to help with these side effects? Like Vit. or Herb...that sort of thing.

I  also am trying to get myself to work out now...Well walking and I'm trying to do more.

I will go get some Valerian and Kava Kava is ok with a Antidepressant I hope. I should look it up..But thank You so much for helping me out on this.. I'm having such a Hard darn time...My Moods seem to swing up and down non stop..but I was on darn pain meds for 9 years..and Methadone for 6 years ....I guess its going to take some time...

I do take a Antidepressant..and I'm trying to get back into Meditation..Man this is just crazy...and I don't drive much so I don't know if there is a group I can join on the net..Like a NA group sort of thing...I need to look into it..Hope all is well for you my friend..

valerian root can be calming too. do you have any aftercare in place. that's a good place(a meeting) to get all your frustrations out to a bunch of people who will understand. good luck! peace, sway

humm..don't think there is a quick fix here...but,

if you are not taking any antidepressant, you could try 5htp , saint jhon's wort ...but it will take some days to feel the effects, ok?

that one of exercising is a very good one, at the same time that you boost your endorphines, you gonna feel so exhausted that you won't feel like yelling nor quarreling ;)

meditation is also veeery good source to calm down ourselves...

maybe you could also re-start any hobby you had in the past...
